This Christmas display ranks high in my top 5 best creations!
I dedicated countless hours preparing and double-stuffing balloons(which is very time consuming), I always arrive early to ensure everything is perfect. As a balloon artist, unexpected challenges are part of the job. For instance, one of the top-tier sweet balloons burst, and I had to quickly source a replacement (major stress!).

To add to the complexity, the client requested a stage, which meant adjusting the balloon lengths. Without hesitation, I extended them by an additional 6 feet on each side ( I made two 12ft balloon garlands) surpassing expectations without being asked. It’s important to reflect on the incredible sacrifices and love that mothers pour into their roles every single day. Being a mother is truly a special and remarkable journey, filled with both joys and challenges.

Here in Jamaica, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the beauty of motherhood firsthand. Recently, my dad’s dog gave birth to four adorable puppies, and let me tell you, it’s been an eye-opening experience. You can actually see the sheer dedication and exhaustion in the mother dog’s eyes. Despite her exhaustion, she continuously tends to her puppies.

There are moments when you can see her longing for a moment to herself, but her puppies always find her! It’s a reminder of the immense responsibility that comes with being a mother. The mother dog looked burnt out, tired, and at times, even a bit miserable. It’s a poignant reminder of the sacrifices mothers make every day to ensure the well-being and happiness of their babies.

Mother’s Day is a beautiful opportunity to honor and celebrate mothers for all that they do. But let’s not forget that the role of a mother extends far beyond just one day of recognition. It’s a lifelong commitment filled with love, selflessness, and unwavering dedication.

So, here’s to all the incredible mothers out there. Thank you for your boundless love, your endless sacrifices, and your unwavering strength. You are appreciated for one day, but every single day. 💕
