Today’s the first quarter moon in Gemini “Speak your world into being”. Personally, I don’t believe in manifestation (if you do, you do you, boo). I’m not the ultimate authority of my life. There is a power greater than myself who is. Im taught to pray and to do the footwork required of me.

Page of wands reminds me that my actions speak louder than my words. As I pray (ask) I am to also “act as if”. Im to do the things anyway, even when afraid. Im to go boldly in confidence, even when I feel insecure. Im to give peace to others, even when I feel anxious. Im to trust the process.

Today’s daily tarot reading is from a NEW DECK!! I bought the Kawaii Tarot last fall, mainly because the Empress is a poodle and I LOVE my poodle so it was kismet. Our first card four of wands!

The sloths encourage us to celebrate in a restful way. This is as much as card of celebrating as it is taking time out of our usual routine. It can look like a weekend getaway or a nap at home followed by a nice cup of tea and a snack. Party in your PJs today!

Today’s daily tarot reading is eight of swords. This is a card of feeling trapped, powerless, a victim. Looks closely: the only thing she’s bound to is herself. She’s a volunteer not a victim.

When we’re in self-inflicted pain, we don’t want to hear that. We want to hear it’s everyone else’s fault. Nope. You won’t hear it from me. The beautiful thing about being your own problem is that you’re also your own solution. Are you willing to admit you’re creating mess in your life? Are you willing to accept help?

For my fellow 12 steppers, you’ll be familiar with the 1-2-3 waltz. I can’t, he can, I’ll let him. At my church they say “without you I am powerless, but with you I am never helpless.” Amen!

Today’s daily tarot reading is eight of pentacles. I started a new position in the company last month. It’s brand new work for me and I’ve got to learn everything from the ground up. Yesterday, I dug my hands into one particular task. I feel like I have a better understanding of it now, so I can get to very similar tasks today.

This card tells us practice makes perfect. We don’t have to, nor should we, be too achiever from day 1. That is flawed perfectionist thinking. Take the time to learn and sharpen your skills.

Today’s daily tarot reading is the emperor. This is symbol of confidence, respect, wise decision-making, and trusting ourselves. The emperor is a calling to step into our lives as the main character. We can live our lives as a supporting actress for decades, caring for everyone else first, living off of whatever scraps are left for us. We believe this to be a virtue, however it is a form of abuse we inflict on ourselves.

Stepping in as the main character can be scary! Who will we rely on? Will I have to figure out everything on my own? I don’t believe so. When we are the most important human in our lives, it follows to look to the divine for our guidance and our needs. Emperors aren’t gods, but wise ones seek one.

Today’s daily tarot reading is five of cups. Could you practice gratitude in your grief today? Could you level up one more and practice gratitude FOR your grief? Remember back to your last heartbreaking loss and the eventual outcome of it. When I do this, I am reminded that my struggles produce gifts. Today, I challenge you to take your list of grievances, preface them with “I am grateful for [my grievance] because…”

Here is mine: I am grateful my house hasn’t sold yet because it makes me lean on God and brings me closer to him.

Today’s daily tarot reading is on the New Moon in Pisces. What is the Divine broadcasting that we must tune into? Five of pentacles. Without spiritual help, living in this broken world is too much for most of us. We were certainly not designed to do life alone. Fortunately, there are resources all around us that invite us in. You have a choice to accept spiritual help today. I’m saying yes to the invitation out of the harsh elements and into shelter and safety.

Yes, you had to hurt and be broken by the experience for this relief to come, but look to the sky. The clouds are clearing and a brilliant dawn is breaking through. We can have hope today.

Today, realize that these people/places/things are failing you. They are not providing you the results you seek. Turn to your Higher Power instead. Apparently we haven’t been paying much attention to 7 of pentacles because here she comes again! I have a lot of financial insecurity right now and it’s bleeding into the readings. Maybe you do too. This card is about investment, the long game. There is no turnkey solution here. It’s going to take perseverance. Surrender your worries to the sea (or a jar of water you can toss).

I’ve been wanting to deny the economic conditions for the past several months yet the sun card came up yesterday and illuminated everything. This message isn’t to “take a hard look at your spending”. It’s an offer to learn how to adapt to the current conditions so we can weather it feeling a little better. Today, try to learn what you can about finances, mostly yours. I hope this inspires me to do the same!

I was listening to one of my favorite playlists last night and this line is it today: “But I will stand tall in the lion's den, 'Cause I know in my heart I am one of them.” Imagine the confidence you’d need to embody. If animals can smell fear and you walk into their den, you need to sweat confidence out of every pore. This card shows us to remind you that YOU HAVE THAT STRENGTH! It is in YOU! If you don’t feel it, ask for it. Ask for it to make itself known. When you walk into whatever the lion’s den looks like for you today, know in your heart YOU BELONG! You are not an imposter. You deserve what you seek.

You are exhausting yourself to avoid feeling your grief. Remember the controlled burn I told you about when King of Wands showed up last time? The stuff you aren’t meant to carry is being burned away for the real growth to happen. You don’t want to be gripping tightly to the stuff that’s about to burn away.

Read that again. This card is about material and family stability, contentment, and a lack of financial worry. While finding myself in a mound of worry, I was reminded to take a look around and see what I have. Isn’t it already “enough?” I needed that reminder and I hope it helps you too.

Today’s daily tarot reading is King of Wands. Where I grew up in Florida, we had “controlled burns” often. These were intentional and safely monitored forest fires to burn away all of the young, rapidly growing scrub plants, making way for the forest to thrive. If you don’t feel very kingly today, and you feel more like you’re choking on smoke, trust that this is an intentional and safely monitored process by your Higher Power to burn away everything that’s blocking you from thriving. The burning will reveal blessings.

Today’s daily tarot reading is The Hermit and 6 of cups. We absolutely need alone time and we need to reason things out with wise counsel too. We’re receiving big insight into our nature and patterns from our upbringing. We may be doing inner child healing, working with attachment theory, or simply becoming aware of both the generational “curses” and beloved family traditions. While we need the time alone to have these insights, we also need to reason things out with someone else. When we look at the past, our brains tend to retain only the positive memories - this is a good things! However, when we use that information for decision making, we’ve only got partial information.

This card showing up means that someone is on their path to breaking free of that need. Someone is owing her power and exercising her rights. Someone is ascending to the place they were created for. When I see this card, I hear “King” by Florence + The Machine.

Today’s daily tarot reading is inspired my the Moonology Manifestation Deck by . Today is the first quarter moon in Ta**us and the corresponding oracle card tells us to release control. The tarot cards tell us of what?

The tarot says to let go of the need for outside validation and praise. “Mia, this meal is so great!” “Good job on that project today” “You are so beautiful”. This type of praise is lovely to receive but if we aren’t first giving that to ourselves, if we aren’t whole inside, the praise will be hollow and short lived.

See yourself as diving beings see you - as whole, perfectly imperfect, empowered, glorious. You ARE the empress. Treat yourself as such.

Today’s daily tarot reading is two of cups. As we heal the relationships we have with ourselves, we are able to begin to heal the relationships we have with others. We can build trust, intimacy, and safety with people in a different way when we no longer place our dependence on other and we love ourselves the way we want to be loved. Healing takes time. Baby steps are a good thing. Approach this relationship cautiously: it will be appreciated by your future self and the other party.

Today’s daily tarot reading is knight of cups. This card is a whole mood. Knight of cups wears her heart on her sleeve and is the first to follow it’s every beat. She has a really deep and meaningful journey in doing so, but this life can get tiring. We’ve got to return to the river to refill our cup. What that means for those of us who identify with her is to take time today to look after ourselves as if we were a small child. When we care for ourselves with gentleness, we fill our own cups and hearts and are able to continue our emotional journey with a refreshed spirit.

Today’s daily tarot reading is five of wands. This card comes up when theres competition. Today we have many interests that we’d like to pursue further, but we can’t do them all at once. While all of these are meaningful to us, we simply can’t embrace all of them today. Some we’ll have to set aside for a later date. Today, examine all you’re interested in doing and find the most meaningful and exciting one for you today. Follow that path first and see where it leads.

Today’s daily tarot reading is three of pentacles. When this card shows up, it’s time to do some work. If we’ve known this and have been procrastinating, we must evaluate who we are in this card: are we the teacher, the student, or the inspiration?
