OVATIONS THEATRE offers inspiring and thought-provoking educational and performance opportunities for young musical theatre artists. Our learning environment supports creativity and open-mindedness, dedication and focus, individual expression and ensemble teamwork. Along with singing, dancing, and acting, our young people build confidence, problem-solving skills and strong friendships. They gain the fundamentals they need to blossom on-stage and off as they work together to create memorable—and magical—experiences for themselves and their audiences.

Hello and welcome to the first of our Flashback Fridays! Each week, we are going to take an in-depth look at some of our favorites events!⁣
⁣
Week One will focus on our creative process, Week Two will focus on the guests’ reaction, and Week Three will take a look at how much the host loved the event we planned!⁣

This week, we’re taking a look at our Magical Mitzvah. ⁣
⁣
One of our favorite projects that we did was The Magical Mitzvah. We actually decided the theme after I found the venue. As soon as I saw the place, I said Harry Potter it is! And off we ran with it. Everything from the Save the Dates to the party favors and thank you notes (including the postage stamps) was themed to add to the magical experience. To say that it was a labor of love would be an understatement. It consumed our entire family for nearly two years. We all loved Harry Potter and this really got all of our creative juices flowing. This one party gave me and Jack so much time to plan and to bounce ideas off of each other. It was great. The time we spent planning every single detail of this event was as special as the event itself. And seeing our vision become a reality and watching the guests’ faces as they noticed each additional detail made the night truly magical!
