Guess what! While I'll still be delivering flowers like this to you, I am carving out time for a brand new endeavour.

My friend and I are growing a non-profit together called "Girl. Strong."

The goal of Girl. Strong. is to empower girls age 6-12, and it is the only Canadian organization licensed to teach kids the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" (S. Covey).  I'll focus on marketing and my friend, .doula, a teacher by trade and founder Girl. Strong., will focus on curriculum.

YES, I'll still be operating Rylea Bloom! No change. Just making room for new meaningful endeavours.

I need your help 🙏:
1- follow us. Insta:
2- share ideas/stories/network links...anyone in your network I should meet?
3- think of all girls in your life (age 6-12). Virtual classes start Sept 27. Could they benefit from skills that will empower them long-term? Use & share my 20% discount code (STRONG20).

New adventures await!!!

It takes a village to raise a child but no one can shelter, protect or nurture them quite like MOM.

Thank you to my Mom for the warmth and safety of your hugs and for the evelope of love I feel, regardless if you are near or far.

Hopefully in the not-to-distant future, the simple act of a great big physical bear hug won't be so complicated. I think I took them for granted before, but this pandemic has highlighted how meaningful a hug from Mom really is.

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms. Sending you all virtual hugs.🌷❤

A dear friend just reminded me "You can’t give what you don’t have." I thought it was the simplest lesson for self love. So today, L○VE yourself first. It really is the key that unlocks it all.

In this pic, I was at the Grand Opening almost 2 years ago when this husband & wife team. So proud as they started their bricks & mortar journey.

For #2 I caught up with Natalia to reflect on 2020 and predict 2021 and beyond. Of course we started with ♡

Her advice for v-day gift-givers amidst this and current stay-at-home order:

1- Pre-order now. The probability of meeting (traditional) last minute demand for flowers is very, very, very slim.

2 - Give your gift on Feb 12 or 13. Its a great way to kick off the long weekend. Its the only way to eliminate the stress of waiting around Feb 14 for the delivery to finally arrive. (📢: I cannot echo this tip any louder – pandemic or not! Avoid the stress. Trust us, it pays off to be early!)

All week I'll share more from my convo with Natalia. Tons to cover on topics like &

Finally, to cap off my first topic, on Wedding planning during a pandemic, I asked our wedding pros what's become more vivid to them after the last 10 months of work? (Its really energizing to hear!):

1- "Planners always prepare for the worst-case scenario. Now its actually here!!! I can get through it. Now I can share that expertise with future clients."

2- "Communication is important. It was important before but is glaringly important now. Established relationships with all vendors in the wedding industry has really helped smooth things out for my clients."

3- "I’ve gained even more confidence. Confidence in pivoting constantly and managing disasters. Confidence in the relationships I’ve built. Confidence that industry pros can (and continue) work together in times of crisis."

Thank you to weddings for sharing what working during a pandemic has been like, and for providing

What became more vivid for me from this convo: if you are moving forward with a 2021 wedding...definitely consult a planner. The wedding landscape has completely changed for 2021/2022. Big wedding or small wedding, couples could really use someone to help navigate and prepare for continued unforseen circumstances.

As of today, much of the wedding industry has paused.
- There are couples with huge deposits they cannot get back.
- There are also once-thriving food businesses suddenly closing.
- Photographers are on hold.
- Elaborate cake contracts cancelled.
- Dresses not yet worn.
- Airline tickets credited.
- Flower arrangements never made.

The domino effect goes on and on. No end in sight.

Today, Wedding Planners are constantly adjusting contingency plans as guest lists shrink; shared one that went from 120 to 80, then to 10, and finally 5 guests. .weddings shared one event that hinged on a Covid test result; the result was thankfully negative but only confirmed 1 day before the ceremony! This is our new reality.

: In the midst of all this our Wedding Planning Profs have seen heart-warming goodness thrive. ❤. said “so many are trying - trying to be gracious, trying to be accommodating, and also trying to be flexible.”

All sides have to give and get. Getting through 2020, whether it meant events were downsized or moved or postponed, required everyone giving up something to make it work. 💯. Be prepared.

"What was 2020 like?” ...was my first question out of the gate to 3 busy wedding planners…and it was a totally loaded one!
Their immediate reaction was, a combo of chuckling, long pauses – and basically all the non-verbal signs for the phrase “where do I begin!” They all hoped Covid would be over by the summer. That didn’t happen. The answer was clear: 2020 was rough.

Here are the top challenges I heard in my convo with @hazelboivin
and .weddings :

1- No pandemic playbook. There are no precedents, rules, or policies for this!
2- No crystal ball. How long will this last?
3- Re-setting expectations. 200 guests? 20 guests? Or postpone?
4- Re-negotiating contracts (with venues, caterers, photographers, entertainers, florists, etc.)
5- Financial concerns. What happens to deposits if Covid forces a cancellation?
6- Staying safe.
7- Staying positive, for themselves and for clients.
8- Business concerns. So many businesses have folded, who’s next?

2020 was rough, and 2021 is shaping up to be the same. You feel it too?

The above challenges remain.

There has been a huge financial and emotional hit, industry wide.

My chat continues with them tomorrow...stay tuned.

If you have any 2021 wedding planning questions...hit me up! I'll get the experts to respond :)

you have helped my kids 'be kids' (dream, wonder, and literally just run around) at a time when they needed it most. Rest in Peace.

When the Pandemic started, we fell in a routine of 'movie night' every other day after dinner. Between 7pm and 8pm we filled up bowls of microwave popcorn, dimmed the lights, loaded DisneyPlus and slowly made our way through the Marvel Universe. We were hooked, especally on , hoping another film would be coming soon. Your presence in my living room has meant alot and has helped us escape the limitations of lockdowns and school closures.

Since then, though only for a short time, I've read about your work outside of acting, and have learned from the short stories and thoughts on your instagram.

You were taken way too soon. At a time when the power of your reach is needed most, and was set to soar even higher. Your presence and your voice will be missed. It will be missed today, but moreso in the future for the kids that would have had the the chance to look up to you has they grow into young adults.

"Black farmers have historically faced race-based lending discrimination when applying for loans from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)"

There is a growing movement of young farmers led by people of color in the Northeast but barriers to accessing funding and land remain. The family behind Triple J Farm in Windsor, N.Y., knows this.

Nearly half the people who attended the reception have tested positive for the virus. Maine authorities say it has spread to others who did not attend the wedding, including a woman who has died.
