My girl gets MARRIED to her best friend today….in Joshua Tree no less. I’m so excited this day is here, and I know they are too!! Wishing so much I could be there with them celebrating in person (the FOMO is real right now), but since I can’t be, we just have to make sure they feel extra celebrated here!!

Sam and Nathan, just so you know I’m throwing a big party here deep in South Texas for you two beautiful people (no joke…are you sure you aren’t models on the side 😍). Can’t wait to throw the real party for you in a couple days so we can celebrate together properly!!

In the meantime, just enjoy each other to the fullest. You both deserve so much love and you get to love each other for the rest of your life. How exciting!!

Y’all it’s wedding week for Shelby + Carson, and can I just say how absolutely excited I am to get to celebrate them Saturday??

Shelby is probably the absolute sweetest soul, and I cannot wait to meet her other half on Friday and help them start this next step of life together. Believe me when I say every part of their wedding has been specifically planned to reflect who they are as partners in life!

As I was meeting with Shelby several weeks ago and talking over mutual wedding details, I loved getting to see how similar we were on all we had done to plan out special moments throughout our respective wedding days.

Took a quick trip to Weatherford today to meet with these 2 for their final details meeting!! And since I’m extra behind sharing these, I get to do their PME welcome on the same day 😉

Y’all help me welcome John and Shelby to the Prairie Moon Family!! Ever since they booked I have been so excited to get to this final stretch with them and finally get to meet them in person. They were such a joy to talk on the phone with and ever since that first meeting it has been beyond obvious just how excited they are to say ‘I Do’ and start this next chapter of their life together!!

So here’s to John and Shelby and this final stretch of planning! We’re gonna have a blast working toward the day together 🤍

Y’all…I feel like I’m waking up and coming back from the dead to join the living. Not only from being on honeymoon livin the last 2 weeks, but also kind of from the past SEVERAL months.

Between planning a wedding, working 3 jobs, trying to buy a home with the hubs, moving, working others wedding, growing a business, helping Kyle (hubby) stay motivated with his business from 200 miles away…woah. I am definitely impressed with everyone who handles crazy periods in life so well because I most definitely do not!! But wow am I so thankful for all the opportunities God placed before me over the past year, and all the many amazing things he has in store for PME, myself and my little family moving forward 🤍

A somewhat BIG announcement that has slipped by without me even realizing the significance…I am at least for the time being full time working weddings (and a few other things but I’ll keep y’all up to date on those 😉).

So here goes this next adventure in life!! I’m so excited to see where this new road leads!

Y’all….I got married on Friday.

So I’m on a fun honeymoon with my new hunny enjoying the fact that we aren’t having to travel 200 miles to see each other (yay for no more long distance 🙌🏼). If you email/message, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can, but no promises it’ll be within my typical couple of hours!

Ashamedly I have yet to welcome Morgan and Kade to the Prairie Moon Family, so y’all help me give them a big shout out 🌙

I could not have hand picked a sweeter bride to work with even if I tried. Morgan has just the sweetest heart, and the biggest love for her man Kade. And her western loving heart makes mine so happy. They’re wedding day is going to not only be beautifully designed, but most importantly it is going to be beautiful because of the love these two share.

I also want to send out a quick SOS - Morgan’s MUA unexpectedly had to cancel on her for her bridals that are tomorrow. If you are/know of any MUA’s in the San Angelo area that are willing and able to do her makeup tomorrow please reach out!!!

Y’all help me welcome Patrick + Savannah to the PME family ✨

These two adorable Aggies get married in 6 weeks, and I am so excited to celebrate their big day with them!!
I met Savannah whenever she moved to College Station for school, so I am so glad that I did. She has the sweetest spirit, and boy does she love her man Patrick!! Who by the way is in the military, and currently in training in Florida. Which means this sweet couple has been doing this whole wedding planning long distance…so they definitely deserve a big round of applause!

I also get to work with my girl Rachel Driskell Photography again for the first time in several years, and I know it’s going to be a blast!! Y’all go give her a follow and some extra love. The Driskell clan deserves lots of hugs and love right now!!!

Can’t wait to work along side some wonderful vendors and help get these two hitched 🤍

If you only learn 1 thing from me, let it be this - get a photographer you feel comfortable with! Someone who can turn into a friend (if they aren’t one already), who you are comfortable being yourself around. And especially get someone who your fiancé is comfortable with!!!

All my sweet fiancé could say after our session on Sunday was : ‘that was so much fun!!’ And I agree with him whole-heartedly. We had such a fun time getting to just be in love, all the while just joking and cutting up with 🥰

On that note honestly if you can, get along with ALL your vendors - the better you get along with your vendors, the more comfortable you will be trusting them with your wedding day!!

I can’t wait for our wedding day and all the joy it will bring - and I especially can’t wait for to capture all the memories!!!

I am so excited for their wedding in December! Not only because it’s in the Fort Worth Stockyards - but also because I get to work with my awesome friend 🙌🏼

Abby found me through another bride, which means when I worked that wedding I got to meet her and oh my goodness what a sweetheart!! She and Patrick are just straight up adorable, and are going to make a beautiful bride and groom come end of this year!!

Oh my goodness y’all...HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I can’t believe we are already a full week into the new year. It feels like it’s already flying by.

So many amazing things are happening this year!! From getting married in the fall to (hopefully) buying a house and moving to a new town, this year is sure to be a busy, but oh so wonderful one!!

I get to marry my best friend next year!!!! 💍

This weekend has been the most exciting of my life so far! I can’t wait to take y’all on this journey as I get to step into the shoes of the bride and plan my own wedding!!! So without further ado, let the wedding planning commence ✨

We are exactly 3 (count em) THREE months away from this beautiful couples wedding. Which means it’s high time I welcome Morgan and Dusty to the Prairie Moon Family 🌙

Hopefully by now you all know just how much I adore all of my couples. I truly believe that they are part of my little family over here at Prairie Moon Events as soon as we end that first phone call. By wedding day most of the time I am on the brink of tears as they say “I Do” and my heart is filled with joy as I watch them run off toward the rest of their life at the end of the night.

Morgan and Dusty are no exception! From the first video chat I had with Morgan, I felt like we were old friends just catching up on life. Her beautiful heart and her kind spirit shines straight through her smile, and I am so beyond excited to see her walk down the aisle in 3 months!! (ps Dusty I didn’t forget about you. I am waiting impatiently until I get the chance to meet the man Morgan brags about all the time 💁🏼‍♀️).

I am so thankful and blessed that I get the opportunity to make their wedding day one they will remember forever!!!
*disclaimer* There’s a 99% chance there will be a lot of tears from me come February.

So y’all remember a while back when I was spending a lot of time in the shop? If not, that’s okay. I’ll give you a refresher.

A few months ago I went to my dad (the master builder and mastermind behind my crazy ideas) and asked him if he’d help me build a couple things for a photo shoot. Of course because he’s the best dad and can’t say no to helping with a building project (mainly cause I’m too stubborn to take no for an answer). So we started brainstorming on what I would want the arch to look like, and then got into creating one of the coolest ranch tables (I’ll show that one off later).

Being out in the workshop with my dad is one of my favorite places in the whole world. And the fact that we got to work together to create this work of art that I now get endless photos of the memories we shared in that workshop.

So for all you brides out there, whether PME brides or not, if you’re looking for an arch, I’ve got you covered! Well more like, my dad has got you covered cause let’s be honest, I was not that much help. Thank you thank you thank you big time to Prairie Moon Dad for making this vision come to life and helping us create the perfect ceremony element for this photo shoot!!

It’s officially OCTOBER 🍁

Y’all October is my favorite month. I couldn’t tell you exactly why... but it always has been, and I’m sure it always will be! I love anything in the fall though honestly, because that means fall colors, warm sweaters, hot coffee, and BONFIRES!!

I am very excited that South Central Texas has been experiencing some cooler weather. It has done this cold weather lovers heart some big time good!! It’s also made looking at these pictures from this amazing day 10x better!!!

Small photo dump because I am IN LOVE with these pictures from Matt and Brittney’s wedding!!

I mean come on, this is a vogue shot if ever I saw one! And I have to for sure give a huge shoutout to the amazing photographers - Fil W Media !! You will never capture the perfect images of your wedding day without the right photog!

On that note, you’re not going to have the amazing day you’ve dreamt of without the right vendors period. So when searching for vendors to work with you and your fiancé on your wedding, make sure you get along with them! There are a lot of amazing photographers, venue’s, coordinators, florists, etc to choose from, but not every vendor is going to be a perfect match for every couple!! So when you find a vendor who you love, make sure to ask them for recommendations of other vendors they love working with. More than likely if they enjoy working with them, you’ll enjoy having them work your special day!!

I tried to get this up for their official 30 days to wedding mark, but apparently Instagram didn’t want to be my friend that day, so instead I wanted to share today when I finally get to meet these two beautiful people in person!

I love technology and that I get to work with brides even if we aren’t in the same town, but it’s so nice when we finally get to meet face-to-face!

I’m so excited to celebrate this beautiful couple next month!! Natalie may be one of the most organized brides I’ve worked with, which to be honest is just amazing for this planner’s heart! Their day is most certainly going to be magical ✨

Happy September 🎊

I thought I’d break down this picture for y’all this Tuesday evening! Most of our vendors are featured in this picture, which is probably why I adore it so much. I’ll save the idea behind this shoot for later when we get to post full pictures, but until then enjoy this breakdown of vendors and their amazing contributions!!

PICTURE | Obviously we would not have this gorgeous image without the equally gorgeous Kaitlyn Fay Photo. Kaitlyn was so open to what ideas I had for photos. She took my ideas and made them turn into this picture that is 100x better than I imagined.

VENUE | What place would have been more perfect for this rustic design other than The Weinberg at Wixon Valley? Such a joy to work with, so open to creating new looks for their venue.

FLORIST/BOUQUET | Okay honestly I can’t say enough about Madeline ( aka Silver City Flowers ). There’s a reason I am not a florist. And there’s definitely a reason that Maddie is! (p.s. peep the bouquet draped perfectly on the table in the background. Definitely more detail on that later).

GOWN | Just plan on shopping at Love and Lace Texas whenever you get married. You will most definitely not be disappointed! Kelly always carries the most amazing gowns for every single style.

HAIR + MAKEUP | Kristen came in and created the perfect natural look for our model. We all had the most fun just hanging out, talking with her about work and what we loved, and watching her create her magic. Fingers crossed I get to work with Glow + Grace Artistry again very soon!

JEWELRY | Every bride needs some blue am I right? Another amazing vendor who is always so prepared. Shelby with Turquoise & Teepees comes with a case full of jewelry she thinks will match the style, and I know that I can leave the choice of jewels in her very capable hands. Surprise, another vendor who I adore!

MODEL | Come on. Shelby Lovelace is a pro at this modeling thing. If you don’t believe me, check out her page and see for yourself. What a true gem. I can’t believe I get to work with such sweet hearted people!

Missing | Baker ( Sinfully Sweet Cake Design ) and calligrapher ( Owl and Envelope ). Never fear though. I’ll be sharing lots more on them later!

Holy smokes y’all I cannot express accurately what it was like working with each of the amazing creatives who worked on this styled shoot!

I joked while I was creating the style board for this shoot that it had the makings of being my dream wedding. Well after we got everything setup and Kaitlyn started taking pictures on Monday, I just had to take a step back and wipe away a tear from the beauty that was my dream coming to life through the hard work of each person there!
