Abeliolistnik is a deciduous shrub. The leaves are simple, opposite located on the stem, dark green.
The inflorescences are racemose, appearing in the axils of the leaves long before their appearance. The flowers are fragrant, self-compatible, the calyx is divided into four rounded sepals. The corolla consists of four overlapping petals, usually white, occasionally pinkish. Stamens in the amount of two. The o***y is two-nesting.
