Lakhs and lakhs of readers have already had their share of "madhu" from this "Madhushala", but it still serves relentlessly anyone that comes knocking at its door. This collection of 135 quatrains by Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan summons varied interpretations and diverse emotions every time one reads it. Known for an exemplary usage of metaphors in Hindi Literature, this work of art is as exhilarating, invigorating and gives a different high every time, without fail. A poet of common man, a poet who could cast a spell with mundane words and a poet whose reach was far fetched because of his simple, oh so very simple language.! *Shailendra* was economical in his use of words, yet his writing was very very eloquent. He is regarded as one of the best lyricists the industry has ever seen, and well, he infused poetry into those beautiful lyrics.!
It is his *99th birthday* this August, and we invite you all to come join us as we recite, hum and sing 'shailendra ke geet' 🙂

arose in aftermath of the French Revolution in the 1790s and set off a
wave of thought globally or the demand of "Quit India" that rang out
in undivided India back in the 1940s and led to creation of one of the
world's largest democracies....dwell on what has been said, written,
amplified by thinkers, writers, statesmen, activists and most
importantly the common man, like you and me, that has changed the
course of history!!
