Open Culture: No Borders, Vol. 2 is out today ❤️ 45 tracks from 48 creatives around the world, coming together to express solidarity with refugees and asylum seekers in the face of the UK government’s “hostile environment policy”. Unfortunately, it’s likely the bill is set to pass, however now is a crucial time to create noise and pressure MPs to influence the decisions on amendments, especially those which affect children. The government are currently acquiring disused barges and abandoned military and prison facilities to detain those seeking asylum. Under the new law, there could be potential for indefinite detention and children and pregnant women will not be exempt. I would be grateful for your time to sign the petition against this by Safe Passage which is linked below along with the release.
