You know that feeling when every part of you—your bones, your cells, your very being—just knows something amazing is about to happen? That’s exactly how I feel about 2025. This is going to be my year.

Reflecting on 2024, it wasn’t without its ups and downs. I had to reinvent myself, face challenges head-on, and embrace growth in ways I never thought possible. But for the first time in my adult life, I can confidently say I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. I’ve found clarity and peace in my purpose, and I’m so ready to step boldly into what’s next.

This year taught me something big: sometimes your biggest supporters aren’t the people you expect. God has a way of putting the right people in your life at the right time. To everyone who’s been on this journey with me—offering encouragement, sharing wisdom, or simply listening—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Whether you showed me how to create better content, recommended equipment, or just shared a kind word, your support has meant everything.

In 2025, I’m walking in faith, knowing every opportunity that comes my way is designed for me. As a mom, aspiring BCBA, content creator, and someone navigating life without a clear blueprint, I’m leaning into confidence and gratitude. Every door that opens will get my full heart and effort.

And now, for the shameless plug! In 2025, I’m excited to collaborate with brands and companies that align with my journey as a family-focused, no-video-games household, single mom, and entrepreneur. Mikayla () is truly a force to be reckoned with—a shining light in the ABA community who not only inspires those around her but is actively making her mark! Her passion, determination, and unwavering commitment to making a difference are unparalleled.

She has built multiple businesses, including BCBA study guides and an incredible podcast that uplifts and educates. Mikayla has also dedicated her time to creating a completely FREE BCBA study session for students, and the next cohort will begin in January (reserve your spot asap! )

In addition, she’s curated an amazing Amazon storefront filled with unique resources and tools that benefit parents, caregivers, teachers, and anyone in between.

When asked about who she is outside of ABA, Mikayla shared, “Outside of it all, I’m God-fearing first, and a mother and wife second. I believe that purpose drives perseverance in living, not just surviving.”

Tomorrow is our ABA Student Summit👏🏼👏🏼

I can’t wait to meet all of you, share my journey, and explain why I started this summit—with the support of my amazing BCBA supervisor. I’m also eager to get to know each of you!

I’ve created some simple guidelines to ensure we have a safe space for everyone. Remember, this summit is built by students, for students, and we want to foster an atmosphere of respect, understanding, and support.

I can’t believe my 7-year-old made this cake!

A few years ago, we decided to stop doing big birthday parties. Now, we celebrate with virtual Zoom parties with family and friends!

Whatever the boys are interested in, we find classes or experiences that reflect that. I want my children to enjoy their special day while I can celebrate without the pressure of hosting.

Let’s be honest: these positions are demanding and can take a serious toll both physically and mentally. Most come with inadequate support and training, yet the expectations are sky-high.

This creates a vicious cycle for BCBAs, teachers, and other support staff, and is unfair to those who chose to leave!

Are we genuinely committed to making a difference, or is this all about the money?
