Barbadian beauty Shanta Prince, known for her infectious smile and unique sound, graces the Silk Road Music Festival Stage at Sweetfield Manor Boutique Hotel April 6th! 🎶

From her roots as a backing vocalist with Bacchanal Time Calypso Tent to soaring into the limelight with hits like “Island Girl” and “Blind to See,” Shanta’s journey is one of musical evolution. Collaborating with icons like Peter Ram, Macka Diamond and Lil Rick, she’s become a staple of Crop Over Season🇧🇧, earning awards and endorsements along the way.

Don’t miss her electrifying performance at the festival, where she’ll be performing her amazing tracks like “August,” “Bad From Ya Born,” “For You,” and “Follow Me.”

Experience the electrifying presence of Jesse Foster on the 6th of April at the Silk Road Music Festival 2024. Known for his accomplishments with Threads Of Scarlet ⚡️, Jesse is a Barbadian guitarist that has had a global impact. He has headlined major events in Barbados including the Virgin Atlantic Music Festival and Rock the Rock Barbados. 🗿
Internationally, he’s toured with Puddle Of Mudd, Sum 41, Saliva and Fuel, earning recognition hfrom Starlight Music NYC. 🌍🔥🔥

Born and raised in Barbados 🇧🇧🏝, Ch’An is a female vocalist with a penchant for meshing an old jazz vocal and modern pop sounds 🎵. Hailing from St.Philip Barbados, she has made it from her little rock all the way to Paris, and back to a stage near you.

With inspirations as eclectic as Ella Fitzgerald, Pink, Amy Winehouse and Patra 🎤, Ch’An’s performances are always a touch of something fresh and exciting. ✨💕

She’s opened for Jah Cure, Chrisette Michelle, Melanie
Fiona, and Tweet, as well as performed in various
cities around the world 🌎. Wherever Jazz/Blues, meets Pop, you can find her.🔥

Kemar “Blaqrose Supreme” Joseph is a sonic architect, crafts experiences that fuse the richness of Caribbean sound with an urban edge. He is master of blending soca, reggae, dancehall, afrobeats, amapiano, and hip-hop, his artistry transcends borders 🔥

Blaqrose has become a household name in Barbados 🇧🇧 and across the Caribbean, gracing various radio stations with the newest singles and more!

In 2021 and 2022, Blaqrose toured across North America 🇺🇸, performing at various parties in clubs and event spaces, including New York, Miami, Boston, Toronto 🇨🇦, and Belize 🇧🇿 in Central America.

He has performed at numerous music festivals and carnival events 🏝, including Crop Over, bands such as Aura Experience, Zulu International, ChocolateNation (Notting Hill Carnival), and Euphoria (Miami Carnival), among other seasonal events 🔥

We can’t wait to have him bring the vibes at Silk Road Music Festival on April 6th! 🙌⚡️

We are hosting another Jam For Gaza event in collaboration with Stop The War Coalition, at the Temple Of Art and Music, Elephant and Castle on Friday 19th January! 🎶

Silk Road is all about art for peace, and we are a movement that will continue to speak up and fight for the rights of Palestine and its’ people. 🇵🇸 This will be a global peace and justice concert where we bring artists and musicians together to stand in solidarity with Palestine and all other countries that are facing civil war and armed conflict - from Yemen to Congo, Syria to Sudan, Somalia to Haiti.

We believe in the power of music and the arts to transcend barriers, build bridges, inspire hope, raise awareness and provide healing.

Keep mobilising, keep demanding a , keep educating and raising awareness in your homes and communities, and keep following the journalists sharing the truth of the realities on the ground. The actions we take no matter how small or little will eventually add up. 💪

We have an incredible line up performing at our concert, as well as some amazing guest speakers, and have more acts to be announced shortly 👀

Our beautiful logo was designed by the talented Tian Rebel, a graphic designer from the city of Bogotá, Colombia 🇨🇴 and lover of hip hop and drum and bass. Tian likes to work with brands that seek to revolutionize the world we live in. Tian is also working on his clothing brand “Stay Rebel” which works with skaters, 🛹 artists, 🎨illustrators, ✍️ models, 💃graffiti writers, and music producers 🎶 all across Latin America.

This logo was then recreated on canvas by Bajan artist Zora’s world for our launch night in Barbados! 🇧🇧

We are so grateful to both of them and LOVE the fact that this movement is connecting artistry from all over the 🌎. THIS is what Silk Road Music is all about. 🥰

Given the humanitarian emergency we are witnessing in Gaza, Silk Road is organising a fundraiser in London at the , Canary Wharf on Sat 18 Nov.

The evening will feature a number of performances from an amazing line up of artists and musicians alongside keynote speakers. We will be fundraising for the charity - Medical Aid for Palestinians

We call for an end to war and an immediate ceasefire between warring Hamas and Israeli occupation forces, alongside humanitarian aid to be delivered without restrictions. We refuse to accept the binary between protecting Israeli lives or protecting Palestinian lives. We advocate for peace for all ☮️🕊🌎

We believe in the power of music and the creative arts to support peace, build bridges and cultural connections. 🎶🎨🎭

Introducing Silk Road Artist .world 🔥

Izora also know as Zora’s World is a young Barbadian Expressionist 🇧🇧🎨 inspired by the vibrancy and energy of her environment. Zora’s work exudes a unique boldness that captures the beautiful essence of life through her point of view.

At a young age Zora was drawn to art and introduced to its facets by her parents, and in her senior years at The Lodge School she fell in love with the mediums of Painting and Printmaking. 🖌️

Zora has been a part of several Mural Projects across Barbados including the Murals commemorating Independence & Republic Day Celebrations in November 2021, commissioned by the National Cultural Foundation. Her largest mural, scaling 45 ft wide on Rendezvous Hill, was commissioned by the Ministry of Culture. 🖼

She’s recently brought her creative and intuitive flair into the world of Social Media and
Marketing having worked with Bajan 🇧🇧 production company, Nouvelle Vie, to produce the
Barbados Independent Film Festival and noted Crop Over Event ‘Rise’. 🎥

She has now entered a new phase of hosting and organising events, which facilitate the
curation and cultivation of creative spaces for young Barbadian artists. Applying her artistic point of view and bringing concepts to life is her calling as she aspires to be a creative producer and artistic director. 🔥

We LOVED having Zora live painting at our launch night on October 6th - swipe right 👉 to see her in action! We can’t wait to feature more of her art at our festival in April 2024! 😁 🌎 💃
