There are a few things shifting behind the scenes that could impact your wedding planning, especially for 2025 brides.
đŹ First, the USPS has adjusted its working hours and is closing some lower-performing branches nationwide. While we donât know exactly how this will affect mail delivery just yet, Iâd recommend playing it safe and sending your invitations out a couple of weeks earlier than planned.
As a reminder:
â Your RSVP date should be 1 month before your wedding
â Invitations are normally sent out 2 months before that
â Now, I suggest sending them 2.5 months before your RSVP date (aka 3.5 months before your wedding)
đŠ On the shipping front, weâre also seeing the impact of new tariffs. Many couples are facing higher costs and longer delays, especially with online orders that ship from outside the U.S.
Hereâs a quick tip: if you're shopping on Etsy or Amazon, check the Ship By location. On Etsy, itâs listed on the right-hand side of the screen. Choosing a U.S.-based seller often means lower shipping rates, and faster delivery, and youâll be supporting a small business - win, win, win đ€
đ Lastly, a heads-up about florals: many flowers are imported from Central and South America, and their cost may increase in the coming months due to tariffs. Itâs a good idea to check in with your florist - see if they anticipate any rate changes, or ask how to make the most of your floral budget with locally sourced blooms.
Planning ahead doesnât have to be stressful, itâs just about staying informed and making a few smart adjustments now, so your day can go smoothly later!
