I had just flown home from Baltimore airport the day before from working at the Lincoln Center that summer. My brother and sister-in-law still in the city. No cell phones were working. My mother finally called to tell me my brother had overslept and didn’t take the path train into the World Train Center stop he took every morning and my sister-in-law was on her way home, walking, after the bridges and tunnels were shut down. The colleagues I worked with were helping out on the front lines bringing food to the recovery crews. When I went to DC to work at the Kennedy Center I met several young military cadets traumatized by the recovery efforts at the Pentagon and had visions they couldn’t shake.
Today, 20 years later after the attacks, the feelings and impact of that day still exist for me and millions of other countless Americans.
My love to all those who lost someone close to them and those living with mental or physical ailments due to the attack on our country on September 11, 2001.
May we continue to heal and may we continue to live in the spirit of those who selflessly fought to protect our nation. Never forget. #911

One Halloween evening guests squealed with delight, they’d been called to a party, it was out-of-sight! Every detail was perfect, creative, with flair, Impress your guests with Grady Events, if you dare!

Halloween is a fun, anything goes holiday, and guests come to party! I believe it’s the best time for businesses to have a networking event. The idea of Halloween itself has guests thinking of possibilities and ready to expect the unexpected. They are primed for possibilities.

Here are my suggestions for a great Halloween event.

1. Send a Boo-box invite. A surprise invite is always fun. It can be as easy as a black box with a small invite and simple candy sweets with a few plastic spiders. They will not be expecting them. And the element of surprise is what Halloween is all about!

2. Let people have the option of wearing a costume but have incentive gifts for the best ones. That way you will not p**s off those who are too busy and you’ll get the fun, competitive aspect of those who go all out.

3. Stay safe by having everyone register electronically through a ticketing site like Eventbrite. You can detail your duty of care and have them sign your health compliance waiver. At the event have well-staffed health compliance officers at check-in stations where everyone can get their temperature checked before they enter as well as a place they can use hand sanitizer and grab a mask.

4. Have alcoholic AND non-alcoholic mocktails. Try getting your bar staff to work with dry ice or using infusers to give the guest a total science lab experience. Please have all your staff TIPS trained and have two staff members designated to watch out for those who need an UBER or LYFT home.

5. When working with costumed actors or performers, have a no-touch policy in their contract. Guests may ask for photos but the performers may never approach a guest without permission.

6. Recruit costumed staff members as guest hosts to meet and greet those entering your space. Have people who recognize your guests ready with a game plan of who you will introduce them to within your company. Then a game plan of following up with them after the event.

7. Decorate your venue accordingly. Depending on the budget, and the people you are hoping to attract, you will need to meet with an event designer that can save you time and money who understands customer service and how a design will effect the outcome of your business.

If you are looking to engage your audience and elevate your brand, let’s meet to start working right away! GradyEvents.Com DO something different this year. Something they wont expect.

Find out what’s scarier than Halloween.

4 months! I know it’s still hot outside but don’t wait or put off until November what we could accomplish today! Let’s get your holiday party started, the sooner we work together to make your event special, the more the hero you’ll be when the time comes and the better your holiday event will be!

Set up an appointment at https://calendly.com/gradyevents/free-events-consultation?month=2021-08.

You and I can start designing an amazing guest experience, in person, hybrid, or virtual.

Start be telling me your specific goals and event purpose, and budget. Is this a community centered fundraising goal or a family centered business event to thank employees, an outdoor magic winter land festival to improve moral and connect stakeholders to employees, or a dinner thanking your team for their past successes?

After we collect all the important details - when, who, where, what, etc. the Grady Events team will create, design, and present your party’s look, then go over timeline and safety and any health precautions. Our team follows pandemic compliance procedures to ensure everyone will have fun except any viruses.

At Grady Events, we’ll coordinate the design approved vendors (caterers, valet, venues, entertainment, and more) to create your signature holiday event, one your employees and stakeholders will rave and talk about for years.

Need something built? Backdrops, staging or engagement activation stations for your holiday event. We design and create those in house.

Virtual/hybrid party, no problem. We design ephemeral activations, staging, backdrops, personalized gift boxes that support your events purpose.

Don’t wait, get started today! Schedule a time to talk to Grady Events. We look forward to making your party memorable.
