A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported Leavenheath Events Family Fun and Games evening last night. We really hope you all enjoyed yourselves! 🌟 ❤️

We hope our guests doing the half marathon today were successful in their targets and the competitive streak continued from last night 🏃‍♀️🏅

A really big thank you to The Anchor Inn, Nayland for the splendid raffle prize, the winner will see you soon for a lovely meal for two. 🥰

Watch this space for our next event to be published- it’s a new one for us and possibly for the village 🤫

Unfortunately Leavenheath Events committee have had to make the difficult decision of postponing this event due to an insufficient number of volunteers to make it possible. We are really hopeful that we can get a few more people on board in order to run a fete in 2025.

We have a survey to try and engage with villagers, we would be so grateful if you could share this with your friends and neighbours.

News Letter -

Happy 2024 from all of us at Leavenheath Events. We had so much fun with Santa’s Sleigh again over Christmas and thank you to everyone who got involved or made contributions. Over £650 was raised which will support future events for the village as well as the local scout group.

🎄 A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated last night 🎄

Our aim was to spread the Christmas cheer to Leavenheath and we hope that’s what we did.

Thanks go to both the Leavenheath Scout volunteers and the Leavenheath events team for all their work on the day and behind the scenes.

A massive thank you to Lee at Apex Specialist Car Transport and Storagefor sponsoring the event by providing the transport for the Sleigh and driving it around. Please support this local business by looking at his page.

Thank you Stoke by Nayland Resort for lending us a PA system for the music.

We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy healthy 2024.

🌟SANTA IS COMING TO LEAVENHEATH TONIGHT 🌟

Very Rough times are, please allow 30mins or so either way:
3:30- Heathlands
3:50- Elmtree Lane
4:10- High road down towards Wrights way.
4:20 Wrights way and roads off Wrights Way (not Rowans way, the road is too tight for the sleigh)
5:20- Highroad down to Maple Way ( not edies lane or kings land lane as we can’t turn around)
5:30- maple way and roads off maple way.

6:45- The Hare and Hounds, Leavenheath end of the village.

We apologise that some roads will be missed out if we feel the roads are too narrow for the Sleigh or too dark for our little Elves to safely walk.

Please walk out to us and make sure you see Santa.

All donations are gratefully received and really go along way to support our village causes. We are raising money for Leavenheath Scout Group and leavenheath events- sub committee of the parish council.

After a highly successful Diamond Jubilee celebration and village fete in 2022, and another popular fete in 2023, Leavenheath Events are turning their thoughts to 2024’s fete.
These events are organised by a very small group of volunteers who work very hard to bring this to fruition, and it is agreed that too much work was done by too few people to consider this sustainable
going forward.
If Leavenheath wishes to have such an annual event it is felt that a bigger core group of 20+ is required to fulfil our aspirations, so before we commit to full scale planning for June 15th, we are asking the
community to commit a little time and effort into supporting the team.
You would not be expected to join the committee or even presumed available for all our events, but primarily to help with preparations on the village green both in leading up to the fete itself and to clearing the green, after the event.
Preliminary planning has already begun but very early in the New Year, stalls/acts/displays etc have to be booked. We will have to decide before the end of January whether we have sufficient resources
available to commit to this event.
