*WINTER WEDDINGS*

Maybe it's because my work centres on outdoor weddings and events and therefore is heavily summer based...

OR....

Maybe it's because there is something SO romantic about cosy winter weddings.

But I just LOVE them.

You can serve mulled wine upon arrival and incorporate beautiful white faux furs with dark green foliage and plenty of twinkly lights...dreamy! 🎄

I'd definitely go for a winter wedding...anyone else? 🤔

BRIDESMAIDS 💅

❔️How many should I have?

❔️What will they wear?

❔️Will they sit at the top table?

When it comes to your bridal squad there's a lot to consider and I often witness it becoming stressful!

At the very least, you want to make sure you can relish getting ready with your girls on the morning of your wedding rather than having them running around checking on everything with rollers in their hair!

Hiring a wedding coordinator means you can spend time with your bridal party and enjoy the special moments, while I tick off the task list of greeting suppliers and putting out name cards.

Besotted with these couple shots of C&D...💛

After a village church ceremony the whole wedding party came back to C's gorgeous family home for the party!

Their farm setting was just perfect for these rustic rural photos and Rachel captured the romance perfectly 🌻

Is it too early to be excited for next season?

Weddings at home are just wonderful and a great way to save venue hire cost, don't forget to invite me along though so that I can take care of the little tasks while you all enjoy the party 💕

🌼 Use dried petals for an environmentally friendly option - you'll also find most venues only allow this

🌱 I once had a couple who used sunflower seeds at their outdoor ceremony, meaning the birds had a feast to look forward to!

🤔 Think about whether you'd like an "organic" confetti throw straight after the I Do's or would an orchestrated confetti shot make for better photos? Make sure this is communicated to your photographer!

✅ Decide who will be in charge of the confetti...will you have it laid out on seats pre ceremony? Or will a bridesmaid hand it out for you? Maybe you would like a wedding coordinator to do tasks like this for you 😘

I can't take credit for this planning! Jasmine put her whole wedding together which was true to her vision, and she METICULOUSLY planned it all. I mean this Bride even handed me over a fully comprehensive, detailed wedding work book! ✍️

It was the wedding coordinators dream 🤩

Jasmine booked my coordination service a few months before the wedding as she had decided that she would love someone to take care of all the details on the day, and bring everything together that she had worked so hard on. Leaving her to fully relax and enjoy the amazing day!

How was everyone's Coronation weekend? I spent mine at my first outdoor wedding of the year! 🎊

It was great to be back! The weather wasn't on our side all day but it didn't stop the party 🍾

Weather related tips to consider when planning an outdoor event:

☀️ If you're planning to have an outdoor ceremony, do you have an attractive and suitable wet weather alternative? You might want to hire an extra canopy style tent just in case, if you don't use it for rain it will serve as a shady spot!

☔ When booking your structure, consider allowing for extra space in case the drinks reception and evening party needs to be undercover. Your wedding coordinator and catering staff should be able to help by breaking down some tables and chairs for the evening!

☀️ Time of year - most outdoor venues will only take bookings during high season, any earlier than May and you could find the ground too wet and muddy!

☔ Have some pretty white umbrellas for your guests!

☀️ Consider your footwear choice and length of dress, if it does rain you could be getting a little muddy!

☔ Most importantly, don't let the weather rule your day! You can't control it and as long as you have plans in place your day will be fantastic whatever the weather!!

Yesterday was K&J's first wedding day anniversary!!! 💗 Congratulations you gorgeous pair 🎉

Just LOVE this photo of me with the coolest bride and groom Emma and David 😍

For me, working with couples on their big day is such a personal thing, and I feel so grateful to be able to share these wonderful moments with the loveliest people.

I met Emma and David at a wedding I coordinated last year and I was delighted when they asked me to help coordinate on the day for them

This gorgeous pair planned everything themselves and my role was to help bring everything together and enable them to immerse themselves in their day while I took care of all the in-between tasks and timings ⌚
