Davey's Scottish Party is a terrific hour of old time fun for seniors, singing along to Scottish Karaoke with all our old favourites songs, a Pipe band drumming demonstration, a Highland fling, a Scots quiz and theres lots more besides! Your Scottish Party includes one hour of entertainment (sing-a-longs, Scots Quiz, Highland Dancing demonstration, Pipe Band drumming demonstration (on a muffled dr

um) and video of 85 year Pipe Band drumming legend Colin 'Buzz' Ennis) plus half an hour for the RAT test and technical set up).

We had a lovely Scottish party yesterday at Bupa Ballina, what a wonderful group of folks😀 Afterwards I visited a number of retirement villages in my Highland gear and made some new friends and contacts, then bought a very tasty 'Works' burger and coffee at Bondies then enjoyed the lovely park beside the bay inlet, a cool wind blowing. Just needed some bagpipes playing and I could have been on Skye!

Our recent wonderful Scottish Party at The Lodge, Aveo Mountainview, in sunny Murwillumbah with kilted Davey leading the Scottish karaoke singalong.
Lifestyle Co-ordinator Jenny did a fantastic job creating a very lovely Scots atmosphere with lots of tartan and Scots / British food (no haggis unfortunately😁)
A great time was had by all!

My friend Peter Macdonald from Stirling, Scotland, is considered the world's foremost expert in tartan history. He sent me this photo last week of a Stewart tartan unseen for many many years, one of my family tartans.
It's called 'Stewart of Galloway' this is the original design from approx 1820.
