What makes a WITH LOLA Event so enchanting?…

✦ Eccentricity ✦
We are one of a kind! We are not your average events company, we are full of personality, uniqueness and ideas. Wave goodbye to the boring corporate dinners!

✦ Sophistication ✦
This is a reflection of the high quality of products and services produced by WITH LOLA. Every event is curated to a high standard, fueled by our experience in Event Management and educational training.

WITH LOLA is a proponent of ‘thinking outside the box’ as a way to empower and excite our clients. We love the unexpected, the unknown and the daredevil! We can’t help but to get excited at every stage of planning your show-stopping event!

✦ Curiosity ✦
At WITH LOLA we have the strongest desire to explore the unknown, we love to learn every detail and are ready to become fully immersed in all your ideas.

➪Fun fact- at university I spent an entire semester building a dream machine out of a bed frame and projectors.. it’s safe to say I become completely obsessed and even wrote my dissertation on the subject!

✦ Magic
Some may call it a super power, others might say an impressive skill.. we like to call it the magic touch! The final ingredient to making your event come to life.. ooooh and it’s our biggest secret 🤫

Fix That Shirt is a fashion-tech start-up, based in Paris, dedicated to making fashion environmentally friendly and socially responsible.

Founded by a 30-year-old, Indian expat female, the team is led by six passionate individuals, 70% of which are female, from four different countries with diverse backgrounds.
Incubated by IFM_x_Creative Valley at Station F in Paris, they’re reinforcing the words ‘Buy less, choose well, make it last’ by building a practical and scalable, multi-platform application to help consumers make their fashion wardrobes last longer!

In simple terms, they’re a digital marketplace that offer their users fitting, repairing, or upcycling services within the user’s budget, timeline and locality.

Fix That Shirt doesn’t decide the cost of fixing services. It is the customer who enters the desired amount that they wish to pay. The application then displays the list of fixers who can do the requested job within the budget indicated by the customer.

To ask any questions to head over to our stories and place your questions into the Q&A box and they will be answered later.

creates mathematically inspired geometric jewellery from silver and gold. Founder Laila is fascinated with creating three-dimensional forms, which she translates into wearable pieces of jewellery.

“I loved both art and maths at school, and I was always unsure which one to pursue, so now I can enjoy the mathematical forms whilst working in metal. I’ve always been drawn to modernist and brutal architecture, and the repetitive forms on these buildings are something that often creeps into my pieces.”

Head over to to browse through their beautiful pieces and be immersed in the combination of mathematics and jewellery.

are a fashion-tech start-up in Paris on a mission to create a sustainable fashion ecosystem fixing one shirt at a time. Their online blog is currently filled such a vast wealth of knowledge that we just had to find out more:

- Why did you begin the blog and what topics have you addressed?

Through our blog we wanted to offer people an open, community driven platform that enables people to understand the need for having an environmentally friendly and socially responsible fashion ecosystem. Our blog is open to general people to share their own research and findings with the world around topics concerning a sustainable future for fashion.

So far our contributing authors have written about a wide range of topics from upcycling, artisanal textiles, innovative materials, to green washing and more.

- Who is your target customer?

Our target audience are the people who want to develop more conscious buying habits and are interested in being a part of an ethical fashion society.

- Why do you think that they’re conscious about their consumerism?

Because they’re changing their habits by buying second hand, renting & going local!

They're soon to launch an App to help you to repair and upcycle your existing wardrobe. Head over to to register for early access and to learn more about sustainable fashion.

Okie dokie... I’m fully booked for summer!

If you want to work with me it’s not to late, join my mailing list to stay updated.
I will be taking on more clients in August.

Honestly, it’s been a roller coaster six weeks with constant client calls, enquiries and mini emotional moments of self-doubt 😂

Lessons learnt, trust your instincts and learn from your mistakes.
Right at the beginning I turned down clients and projects because my instinct was screaming no, even though I didn’t have much work on at the time. But thank goodness I did! Look how far I’ve come and now work with the most exciting people I’ve ever met!

It’s important to remember your self-worth and your whys! Why are you running your business? I’m sure it’s not mainly for financial gain, but because you have a true passion and love for it!

Never forget that!

create one-of-a-kind garments, made by and . Upcycling clothing from their own wardrobes or from preloved textiles.

also offers an upcycling service which aims to help people look into their wardrobes at what they already have, rather than buying new. They explain:

“We all have those clothes that sit at the back of our wardrobes because we’re bored of them, or they just don’t suit our style anymore, but they don’t have to be thrown away.”

For example, “If you had a dress that was too long and didn’t fit right, we could turn it into a top and use the excess fabric to make another piece (maybe another top, or accessories). We’ve also helped people turn items with sentimental value into something they will wear. I turned an old tablecloth of my grandma’s into some trousers for my sister and they’re so much more special to her because of the backstory.”

Their upcycling services are offered to anyone. They can upcycle your garments to suit whatever your style is. They absolutely love coming up with new designs for people with entirely different styles.

speak to us about the reasons behind why they started their upcycling services and enjoy it:

“I think one of my favourite things about upcycling and reworking items is that the fabric that once suited your fashion taste can be adapted and transformed into something that you love now. Our aesthetics and styles evolve and change all the time, and so can the items we have in our wardrobes.”

Head over to to see their incredible upcycled garments browse their ready-to-wear range through the link in the bio.

ETHICALLY CONSCIOUS

We are supporting brands supporting people who are being paid a fair wage. Working with brands who are open and transparent about how they work. We are particularly focused on working mainly with creatives who produce all of their own work.

We aim to change how consumerism works by raising awareness and supporting a slow movement. Focused on quality over quantity. By educating our readers on conscious consumerism and the benefits of shopping with small businesses.

(Our Giveaway winner) talks to us all about her customers and inspiration behind her Sustainable Fashion Brand:

“Collect Me is for those that want to slow down their consumption of clothing and approach style in a more sustainable way, without losing the joy of fashion. My customers love owning something unique, they embrace colour and are proud supporters of independent businesses!

The key factors in my designs are versatility, comfort and creating flattering shapes - then I add a touch of bright colour and print with fabric choices to crank up the uniqueness and fun! I design pieces that can be worked together but also in a variety of ways. I'm influenced by Japanese pattern cutting techniques and add my signature contrast panels to my designs.

I was never interested in working for big brands and wanted to keep sustainability at the core of what I do. After completing my Fashion Design degree and gaining experience with other small businesses in London and Frome, I founded Collect Me as a brand that focuses on creating in a slow way, with one of a kind pieces.”

We absolutely love the message which Zoe is spreading about being sustainable, creating comfort in a flattering way and producing the most beautiful one of a kind pieces.

Head over to profile, give them a follow and browse their AMAZING collection on their website.

Creative Stories for Creative People

Hey! So glad you could make it. A little bit about me...Born and bred in the UK, now based in Bristol. I’m a creative with a passion for the arts, design and bringing ideas to life.

I started this blog to help raise the profile of creative people starting on their journey, whether it be a side hustle project or a full-time business. After graduating university (many years ago... time flies!) I found myself searching for opportunities within the arts. Looking endlessly for inspiration and constantly facing hurdles. I have gone through all the motions of wanting to start my own business but felt completely out of depth. (sound familiar?)

WITH LOLA is a go-to guild on turning your passion into your side hustle by learning from other people’s challenges and successes. This is a place to be your true self, join the start of a creative community where all entrepreneurs are celebrated!

I hope you find content to inspire and excite you.
