PROOF THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER SHY AWAY FROM COLOR

When Rylee and Jordan said they wanted to incorporate lots of fall colors into their wedding design, I was immediately excited to get started!

R+J were married on Rylee’s family property in Foresthill and the backdrop for their ceremony was her childhood tree house!

We wanted to make sure the wedding design felt true to both the location and the couple’s vibe, so we brought together rustic, eclectic and bohemian elements to create their one-of-a-kind wedding design. Rylee thrifted all the taper candle holders AND oil lamps to add an even more personal touch to the reception tables.

For the florals, we asked to create a statement piece to climb up the ceremony tree that was then repurposed on wine barrels at the “entrance” of the tent. We wanted the florals to be more loose & whimsical and asked that they include grass & fern elements to give a more wild feel. We even tasked with including a peacock feather (or two) in the bridal bouquet at Rylee’s request! I cannot say enough about how perfectly the florals came together and how knocked it out of the park!

R+J’s design came together perfectly and their wedding day felt like a true reflection of THEM (that’s what it’s about, right?!)

Kaley & Andrew opted for a T-shirt toss instead of a bouquet or garter toss and it was SUCH a hit! Their guests did not disappoint when they truly LEAPT for the shirts!

Guests who found themselves with one in hand immediately put them on for a photo op and most kept them on for the rest of the evening.

I’m loving all the fun extras my couples are including lately! This one really packed the dance floor and got guests in the mood to dance!

Lindsay & Sam’s wedding day was one for the books! It was definitely the hottest wedding I have ever coordinated, but I was amazed at how smoothly the day went even with the scorching temps! Lindsay & Sam, their wedding party, and all their guests still had an amazing time despite the heat! The fact that nearly all of their guests attended the wedding was such a testament to how loved they are! I felt truly honored to be a part of their love story!

I don’t even know where to start - Ali is incredible at what she does! We hired Ali to be our “month of coordinator” and she wayyyy exceeded our expectations! From day one, Ali spent so much time answering all of our questions in detail and making our experience planning our wedding so fun and memorable! Ali has great ideas is always so forth coming with them! When our wedding day was finally here - the temperature was forecasted for 115 F!!! Ali was so positive and helped us stay positive with the extreme temperatures. We are soooo appreciative of Ali and her team and so thankful, because without them, our wedding would have not been the same. For the first time since launching my business in 2022, I had to sit on the sideline as my team coordinated a wedding without me there…due to Covid.

And you know what? IT WENT SWIMMINGLY!

Abigail & Philip had an INCREDIBLE vendor team and we had worked diligently to plan every detail of their wedding day during the design & planning process.

A SIGNIFICANT majority of your wedding day success will be determined by how you PLAN the day - NOT what happens on the actual day of. Now obviously I know this (it’s literally what I do), but I was NEVER more reminded of this than with Abigail & Philip’s wedding.

“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail” (Benjamin Franklin) is thankfully something we didn’t have to worry about this past weekend, because I KNEW we had planned a killer event.

Abigail & Philip’s dream wedding came together exactly as we had imagined and was just as stunning as I had hoped when working with Abigail on the design.

Forever grateful to my team who stepped up and did an incredible job executing the plan!

WEDDING TOASTS ⬇️

Your toasts are ALMOST ALWAYS going to take longer than you think.

Tell each toaster to keep it under 3 minutes, but account for 5 minutes per person in your timeline. REMEMBER: it’s a TOAST, not a speech!

It’s WAY better to be ahead of schedule and get more dancing time than to get behind and be disappointed with less dancing time!

You hired a DJ, let them do their job!

DJs are SO good at reading the room. They are constantly paying attention to which songs get YOUR guests on the dance floor. LET THEM DO THIS!

When you provide your DJ with a loooooong “must play” list or even go so far as to create a dance floor playlist, your DJ won’t have the flexibility to play other songs if your choices aren’t really doing it.

If your goal is to have a 🔥 dance floor, go ahead and create a “must play” list, but keep it to those songs you ABSOLUTELY can’t miss on the dance floor. Let your DJ know they have your permission to play whatever will keep your dance floor packed!
