Some very sad news last night
Our thoughts are with Charlie's family 💙💔

My heart is breaking to have to tell you all that Charlie has suddenly passed away at 9pm this evening. After landing at Heathrow he was paralysed from the neck down and was rushed to Royal Berks Hospital where he was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a condition in which an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid occurs within the brain. His family were with him when he died. This is all I can manage right now, I'm trying to compose myself as much as I can, I'm so so sorry for Toni, Mark, Oliver, Jess and the whole of Charlie's family. RIP Charlie, one brave soldier, courageous, funny, beautiful Charlie, who was taken too soon but is now at peace. My heart is broken, but he won't EVER be forgotten.

UPDATE: Charlie is doing OK but he's still not fully mobile and is relying on his new wheelchair to get him around. He's also suffering chronic fatigue which is part of the immunotherapy working on the body's immune system. It will knock him around a bit but as ever, his courage and sense of humour isn't failing him.

We've now just £4,230 to go until we reach our target so Charlie's medical bills from his treatment is paid for. This is great news and we're so grateful in everyone's efforts in helping us whittle this down.
