Hello Family,
We are 2 weeks away from our 4th McElroy Family Reunion celebration held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the Embassy Suite Hotel on July 6-9, 2023.
Here are a few things to note:
1. There will be no onsite registration. Due to our food service vendors needing accurate head counts, several weeks prior to the reunion, we are unable to accommodate walk-ons, and last-minute registrants.
2. Check in will begin Thursday evening at 3:00 pm and not before. During this time, you will receive your packets that will include wrist bands and badges, and meal tickets, which are required to participate at our family picnic and banquet activities. Upon receipt of your packets, you and your family will be checked off on the list, as paid registrants. PLEASE DO NOT LOSE!
3. We ask that you wear your t-shirts for the family group photos that will be taken at the family picnic on Friday. We will also have the photographer take pictures at the banquet and other events as well. You may wear your shirts at anytime; but we specifically request you wear them on Friday for the picnic.
4. We have researched and provided a number of offsite activities for you and your family, during the designated Free Time. Those sites are listed on the itinerary provided with this correspondence, as well as in your packets. With the exception of the family picnic, YOU ARE COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COST, ENTRY FEES, AND EXPENSES of THESE offsite activities.
5. We can arrange transportation for anyone who might need it. WE MUST KNOW IN ADVANCE WHO WILL REQUIRE TRANSPORTATION TO THE PICNIC AND OTHER SITES. You can email us at [email protected] or text any of us on the committee at phone numbers that will be provided in this correspondence.
6. For children, there will be water play so swimming attire is recommended.
7. **NOTE: The time for the banquet was moved up to 5 pm on Saturday but the program booklets will reflect the original time of 6 pm. Please be aware that the time has changed **from 6 pm to 5 pm.
8. There will be a Shuttle available from the airport to the hotel and back. It runs between 6 am and 10 pm. The phone number is (405)682-6000.
9. ***For the Oklahoma National Memorial and Museum event that we have planned as a family outing for those who are interested on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. The charges for entry into the museum is $15.00 for Adults, $12.00 for Seniors, $12.00 Military with ID, $12.00 Students (Age 6 through college with ID), and no charge for children ages 5 and under. We have discount vouchers for those who want to go to the Museum; otherwise the rest of the site is free to explore.
