Finding a vendor you can work with on your big day!
Watch for a Lack of Communication.
Couples who are planning their wedding are under a lot of stress. They want to ensure that every aspect of their planning is under control. If you encounter a vendor who doesn’t communicate well with you, no one will be pleased. It is important to be as descriptive and informative as possible as a group, as well as all responding to each other in a timely manner. Meet far ahead of time. Do not meet a vendor the day of the event.
They Take Over.
Brides and grooms have their own vision when it comes to their wedding, and they want their wants and needs to be heard. While your vendor may want to inspire his couple, it is important that he/she does his best to complement exactly what you want, even if your opinion is different. You can always listen to inspiration, but ensure that your vendor never comes off as pressuring. If YOU ask him questions, however, please listen to his reply.
Just Another Wedding.
You want to feel special! You want to know that your wedding isn’t just another wedding that they are servicing. Take the time to get to know your vendor(s), ask them questions, and learn what they can do to help your big day be unique. You will want to ensure that they know that your wedding means something to you.
Prices.
Money is one of the most important aspects when it comes to planning a wedding. Vendors will want to know exactly where you are, budget-wise, and your expectations. It is important that you don’t beat around the bush when it comes to presenting your prices desired. Be straight up about costs, and work with your vendor in the best way that you can so as to obtain the best quote for your big day. There may be a situation where you will not be able to see eye to eye with a vendor. When this occurs end the relationship gracefully and offer your appreciation for the time he/she spent with you.
