Taking a break: ANRAN ChristmasFEST will be taking a break in 2024. After a fabulous event last year, we are pausing to plan for an amazing return in 2025. Watch this space!

Thanks again to all the fabulous makers, artists and producers and of course guests who have made the past 2 years so incredible. We looking forward to seeing you again soon!

Little 00's throwback for you all there. Seriously though, please don't worry about any wet weather curtailing your fun over the weekend. We have a wet weather plan for Friday which will involve moving some of the entertainment under cover and everything will all remain wheelchair accessible and dog-friendly too. The show must go on! Saturday and Sunday market is indoors so rain no problem!

Bonus point to anyone who can guess which film inspired us writing this too!

Introducing the last of our makers, ! Jess makes an eclectic range of small batch pottery and loves to play with clay. Simple forms allow her to focus on the clay body itself whilst experimenting with texture and simple textures.

Introducing the last of our makers, Jess Heard Ceramics! Jess makes an eclectic range of small batch pottery and loves to play with clay. Simple forms allow her to focus on the clay body itself whilst experimenting with texture and simple glazes.

Meet Emma Rosa! .rosa.artist is a textile and 3D embroidery artist creating botanical sculptures from fabric and thread. Emma uses machine embroidery and traditional Japanese flower making techniques, manipulating fabric and thread to recreate botanical accuracy and detailing, whilst capturing the essence and nature of a specimen.

Meet ! Rachel works mostly with lino-print, mono-printing, and drypoint etching to
create work that references the curious folklore and plant-lore of the 19th century and earlier - from Gothic-romantic Victorian imagery, to medieval-style botanical illustrations. Many ideas are also directly
inspired by the flora found in West Country hedgerows, or the antique motifs in beautiful Devon churches.

Meet Kate Toms our 39th maker at . Working with felt, wire, cloth and wool, artist .mixedmedia creates her company of sculptural 3D characters
from her Devon studio. Exploring the ordinary and the everyday and celebrating the humdrum with a gentle humour, Kate invites the viewer to connect with and to create their own narratives around each piece. Welcome Kate!

Meet ! Zaleika designs and makes a range of minimal jewellery from silver and brass. She likes to combine geometric forms with soft curves to create minimal designs and believes in creating designs that are bold but simple enough to be worn every day.

Introducing ! These Touchwoods are handcrafted by Simeon and Miranda Warburton at Off Grid Arts, a nature powered, family homestead, built from salvage at Landmatters Permaculture
Project. Their Touchwoods are beautiful wooden totems that can be held or worn to connect the bearer to the spirit and healing properties of trees.

Introducing Silver Roots! At they grow 100% of their house plants from their shop in Plymouth by planting seeds, bulbs or through propagation of their mother plants using sustainable methods. They have also created their own peat free soil mix which they will be bringing along!

Introducing Lucy Bell Cermaics, the second of our resident potters!

has a wonderful approach to her work, she loves playing with shapes and pushing the clay to its limits. She states that this is where disasters can happen, but also where the nuggets of gold are- learning what to do differently next time.

Lucy is currently developing a new glaze palette with the aim of warm colours that reflect the UK landscape.

Introducing Melissa Marie Leather! creates handmade leather bags and accessories. Using high quality, sustainably produced leather from Devon and traditional techniques they create practical, but beautiful heirloom pieces that will wear in, not out.
The leather used goes from farm to finished in the same county, Devon.

Introducing Julia Chatting of ! Julia is an eggshell artist, using free range local eggs that are carefully cleaned, trimmed by hand and then painted and gilded. She also makes pictures out of shells, seaglass, sea plastics and other rubbish found and collected locally.
