Champagne tower, yay or nay?
I really love that this has become a popular trend, but it has to be done in the right way! A few tips and tricks to keep in mind:
🍾 You don't need a LOT of glasses to build a tower, even though I know more glasses looks pretty. In order for champagne to pour into the next level, those glasses have to be completely full. So the more glasses you have, the longer it takes to pour.
🥂 Make sure you have multiple champagne bottles popped and ready to go (helpful to have a planner or coordinator to prepare this for you). Again, glasses have to be full to overflow into the next level, so you need more than you think.
🍾 Glass over plastic 100%! Even the most heavy duty plastic glasses easily tip and topple over, which you don't want ruining this fun moment.
🥂 If your champagne tower is your opportunity to pass out champagne to your guests, consider having separate filled glasses to give them. Champagne towers are so messy, because each glass is filled to the BRIM. Handing these to guests is going to lead to spills.
🍾 Consider where you set up your tower and any venue rules for cleaning. Again, it's fun but typically messy even when done right. Respecting your venue is so important!
🥂 As always, a planner or coordinator can
make this process a success!
