Wedding Trend Thursday: Selfie Mirrors!

I'm loving the trend of having large mirrors for guests to take photos in, it's an inexpensive alternative to a Photo Booth or just a fun opportunity for guests to take pics 😍

A few tips to make this trend perfect:

🪞Make sure to ensure the mirror is large and wide enough to either lean on a wall, rest on an easel, or has its own stand

🪞 Select a fun phrase or # that will solidify the memory of your wedding

🪞 Place the mirror in a high traffic area so it will be frequently utilized (ask your planner or coordinator to move the mirror from cocktail hour to reception for the most bang for your buck)

🪞 Don't forget to carve out time to take your own picture with the mirror!

Wedding Tip Wednesday: Kids Table

I often get asked my opinion about kids at weddings, but the reality is it's more the preference of the couple. One thing you can do to assist with having kids at a wedding it is having a designated kids table. You can put activities or things for them to do directly at the table, and you can seat their parents nearby. This allows for parents to keep a close watch on them, but also have a little bit of time for just themselves to enjoy the big day.

This is great for dinner specifically, but kids can even enjoy the activity throughout the evening if they are not on the dance floor. there are also services that offer babysitting, so you could hire somebody to look after the kids table, if you were really worried about it, but overall, I think it's a great way to keep kids entertained and give adults a little break if they have to bring their kids to the wedding!

Also, a quick side note. Make sure that having kids at your wedding is your decision, not something that you are pressured into. It's your day and you can make the decision based on your ones and needs, and if people don't support that then that is their business 🙌🏻

Fivestar Review Friday ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

What a special thing to know that even two years later, Leah took the time to leave a review of her experience with us! Two things stand out to me as a point of pride in this review and are great tips for brides planning their wedding!

First, the comment on it being one of the best wedding day investments. A day of coordinator, at minimum, should be a non-negotiable in my opinion. It takes the stress and worry off of not only the couple, but their bridal party, friends, family, and other vendors that may otherwise needed to step in to complete those duties.

Second, pivoting when we had to switch to plan B due to rain on the wedding day. Always ask venues when touring what their backup plan for a rainy day is. It's not fun to think about, but it's better to have a plan than to be "left out in the rain"!

Peachy, pink tones are perfect for spring or summer weddings! Instead of one color against neutrals to make your decor pop, why not have multiple colors in different tones as the POP?!

There are so many gorgeous shades of roses, and other flowers, within this color palette, you can really bring in a softer romantic vibe. Some of my favorite elements of this design include:

•pink candlesticks vs ivory

•peach napkins against the pale pink in a open bloom fold

•mix of tapered and pillar candles for that romantic glow

•a mix of stemmed roses for simple but elegant centerpieces

•larger floral arrangements for a much more dramatic and swoon worthy sweetheart table

Calla Lilies are a simple and elegant (and inexpensive) way to bring fresh florals to your wedding. Their large blooms mean you don't need many of them to make a statement, you don't need accompanying greenery to dress them up, and they're the perfect neutral.
