THANK YOU!(x4) As a young Black Women, I strive to make spaces for us and by us. Each year is different and better in each way.

I’ve built soul ties and get a chance to see women like me in BEST light.

I am so proud of being able to see you ladies smile every year.

Year 4 was a success and I can’t wait for next year! 5 years will be BIG! Thank you to EVERYONE who came and supported. A special thanks to Bee Sweet Cakery for catering and sponsoring the event! We celebrated US!

Many of you have been asking why I do the black girls picnic. I know so many strong talented women in Buffalo. I wanted to make sure we had a day to decompress. To just be us.

It really started with a Facebook post of me wanting to hang out with more women like me. It got a response and I decided to make it an event. But deeper than that, I wanted a day where I didn’t have to be all these titles. A place where we can be unapologetically us. I wanted to wear what made me feel good. I didn’t want to code switch. I wanted to dance and enjoy the simple beauty of being Lady. I wanted to celebrate being a black woman without judgement.

Womanhood also celebrates diversity within one another. Coming together to love each other and show society that we are more. This day is for Love, Unity, and Community. We made a space for us.

A place where you can come alone or with a group of friends. All are welcome!

4th Annual and Original Black Girls Picnic is here!

Sometimes, you just want to get dressed up and hang out with your girls for no special reason or occasion except it's almost the end of a beautiful summer... and you just want to connect with people who look just like you. Being able to relax, network and enjoy being who we are.

Invite all the girls you know, follow or are friends with.

Make sure you bring your blankets, chairs and picnic baskets and soak up the sun one last time together. Bring the picnic aesthetic!
