An up-close & personal experience with a real life reindeer✨ Did you know? Reindeer chew their cud just like other ruminants. Cud is a portion of food that returns from their stomach to the mouth to be chewed for the second time. When animals chew their cud it shows they are relaxed and comfortable, typically laying down while they do it. You’ll often see our reindeer chewing their cud when they meet you, just like Nutcracker is in this video!🦌
There are hundreds of people who anxiously wait in line every Saturday night at Jefferson Pointe to meet our gentle giant, Nutcracker.
A truly magical creature, Nutcracker is a six year old male who stands to antler top, at about 7 feet tall.🦌 He often enjoys laying down on the job as his antlers weigh over 20lbs resting on top of his head; that’s a lot of extra weight to be carrying around all day!
