This beautiful bride told me from the get-go that her future hubby would take the lead in the wedding planning process with me, and he would be the go-to with any questions. Us women are busy! And more so are soon-to-be brides!! I was (pleasantly) surprised! And sure enough, the groom was the point of contact! He was such a helpful fiancé!
To be quite honest, it is VERY uncommon for the groom in the wedding planning process with me to take bull by the horns. What I mean is that the groom is typically in the sidelines, observing from a distance, agreeing with (mostly) everything, as their bride is calling the shots and (sometimes) had lots of convincing to do because what they think is an absolute necessity at their wedding is only a pointless want for the groom (I see you nodding!!). THIS wedding— not the case and it was so refreshing and interesting to admire!

PROS 💁🏻♀️
1. Beautiful scenic and Mother Nature backdrops that make any photographer and bride happy with photos off a magazine!
2. Everyone is in a favorable mood with new love for “change” in weather, season, and holiday cheer approaching.
3. There are new fall wardrobe lines out for men suits & tuxedo as well as bridesmaids.
4. Neutral colors, earth colors and metals make for a gorgeous color palate.
5. Pretty flowers are in full bloom giving you plenty of options for elegant bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, and centerpieces.
CONS 🙅🏻♀️
1. It’s a busy season (early fall is busier than late fall— think planning further away from the Holidays).
2. Vendors book fast (think booking vendors one year in advance!).
3. It’s too cold for some of the more revealing gown options.
4. Unpredictable weather (such as unexpected rain!).
5. Food can be more expensive than other seasons (Thanksgiving is around the corner and demand is high).

When posing my brides or quinceañeras during their formal portraits, I always pose them diagonal (these, not my photos).
