Free show alert!!! I'll be performing on Thursday December 7th at a variety show called "10x10" at The Main in Newhall. The variety style show starts at 7pm and features singers, comedians and bands. I'll be doing a 15 minute marionette segment.

10 by 10 is a chance for ten selected entertainers to take the stage for a ten-minute performance of their choosing. I’m back for my 18th year at the Winter Fantasy Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach for 27 performances beginning Friday November 24th!! Showtimes are 11:00am, 1:30pm & 3:30pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through December 10th.

Join Bob Baker Marionette Theater and puppeteer Joe Selph for a special evening tribute to legendary puppeteer René Zendejas!

René Zendejas and Bob Baker were lifelong colleagues and collaborators throughout their puppeteering careers. Many puppets and animatronics designed and created by René can be found throughout the Bob Baker puppet collection, like his Mexican hat dancer marionettes in our current show ¡FIESTA!

For this special event, Joe Selph, longtime puppeteering partner of René who has continued his performances, will puppeteer René’s Marionettes in back-to-back puppet-off performances with BBMT puppeteers. Enter a spinning duel of marionette glee, but don’t fear — no strings will be tangled!

FREE SHOW ALERT!!!

I'll be performing my marionette show tomorrow, Sunday April 30th, at at 10:40am on the variety stage at Bob Baker Day held at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. This free event runs from 10am to 5pm, with two stages of free entertainment, arts & crafts for the kids, a puppet exhibit, food trucks, vendors, etc. Come support the wonderful work that the Bob Baker Marionette Theater does for the Los Angeles community!

How fitting that my last Christmas performance of 2022 was for this wonderful family reunion! I have been performing at this reunion every year for somewhere between 19 & 22 years (we’ve lost count). It’s as much a tradition for me as it is for them.

Now it’s time for some much needed rest!
