My AI collaborative artwork, Mufuluhi (Barge Paddler), was selected to be showcased at Soul Basel 2024!

This piece is a tribute to the Lozi people, our sacred connection to the Zambezi River, and the Mufuluhi, symbol of strength, wisdom, and cultural honour in the Kuomboka ceremony. Through vibrant hues and ethereal effects, I sought to capture the spirit and resilience of my people and our bond with the river that sustains us.

I’m beyond honoured to have my work featured in this celebration of art and culture. A huge thank you to and for creating a space that honours heritage and highlights Overtown’s rich history and vibrant resurgence. Soul Basel is an arts and culture festival designed to highlight Overtown's historical significance and contemporary resurgence.

My session with at the Science Summit UNGA79 went very well. We talked about the importance of preserving culture in the digital age, touching on my music and art which is rich with Lozi references, the community work we have been doing as and Summit Share project which focuses on the tokenization of African artifacts in European museums. We successfully hosted a transformative 8 day workshop aimed at empowering women with coding, AI and blockchain technology. This workshop was a collaboration with and the Here’s a recap of this inspiring event!

The workshop kicked off with introductory sessions to fundamentals of coding and blockchain technology. Our participants learned about the significance of gaining these skills in today’s digital economy and how they can leverage them to create impactful solutions.

Participants were guided through the process of writing, compiling, deploying, and testing smart contracts. The sessions demystified blockchain technology and provided them with the skills to create their own decentralized applications.

Using Python and Gradio, we taught the women how to create a simple web app featuring an AI chatbot. By leveraging the OpenAI API, they were able to see firsthand the potential of AI in enhancing user interactions.

We shared valuable resources on where to find Web3 and AI career opportunities and introduced them to vibrant Web3 communities like the Ethereum ecosystem and Base. These platforms offer immense support and networking opportunities for budding developers.

A huge thank you to and for making this workshop possible. Together, we are paving the way for more women to enter and thrive in the tech industry.
