ANALOG PASH (bottom right) -

An exceptional musician with an incredible voice, debuting live material that's never been heard, including music from his latest album 'DIGITAL SKANK'. A veteran of the music industry, PASH brings forward a huge amount of positive energy, don't miss out!

LA FRENCH (bottom left) -

Genre-defying music that combines his love of hip-hop, electronica and atmospherics, performing a live set that will put you at ease and lift you away from your worries. A must-see act from an incredible musical pioneer, and one of Lancashire's finest.

ALT-SOC (top left) -

Combining his love of folktronica and Indietronica, Alt-Soc is showcasing material from an upcoming, as of yet untitled, release. An incredible display of musical versatility, combined with a powerful voice, this is a set any music-lover will not want to miss.

KAIRNPENN (top right) -

A haunting journey through his first release 'The Minutes After', along with a performance of unreleased material, this set is perfect for those who want to dance, relax or just immerse themselves in the music. A varied set containing hauntingly melancholic ambience alongside music to get your heads bopping, it's going to be a mind-blowing set.

We're very pleased to be one of the host venues for Preston Jazz & Improvisation Festival again this year. A whole bunch of interesting & exciting events have been announced, with many of them here at The Ferret alongside many other great venues across the city.

PERFORMING LIVE - LA FRENCH

Combining his love for hip hop, electronica and jazz, La French uses samples and live instruments to recreate the genres with an incredible ambient warmth and immersive atmosphere.

This is a must watch performance for anyone who enjoys rich atmospheres, immersive sound design and incredible character. Come watch one of Lancashire's most innovative artists at play.

He released his debut self-titled EP and follow up Alinea via cassette on the Preston based experimental label Concréte Tapes.

His new album, Pre-Post, is available on 10” vinyl August 2023 on Waxing Crescent

Named after a place of inspiration, Kairnpenn combines his love of ambience and dense textures with a mixture of organic house and classical elements. A live set designed to get you moving with the music and to suspend you in immersion.
