FKO’s Bio
A. Francisco Puerto, Techno DJ, born and raised in Bogotá, capital city of Colombia. After spending years in other careers related to art, he decides to focus his talent to something he considers the most important thing throughout his life, music!
Having an empirical formation and deep love for techno music, he began his studies formally in the Escuela Moderna de Musica (EMM), directed by the well known Dj and producer from Bogotá Sebastian Mildenberg, and it is there where he strengthens his knowledge and starts his career as a DJ. Since young, he was interested in the intensity of industrial sounds that he found both in the dynamism of the UK Darkbeat and in the coldness of Swedish techno. Without leaving aside the large number of references that came from the USA, (Detroit and Chicago) and some others emerging from Spain. Has shared the stage with important international artists such as: Birth Of Frequency, Developer, Oschlighter, Hans Bouffmhyre a.k.a. Secluded, May McLaren, Deedak and recently with the talented Headless Horseman, as well as a large number of local artists; Lega, Alquimista, Roman Arango, Frank D., John Dope, Le Conde, Minor Dott, Luigy Nova, Hall Guillen, LAMAT, Steve Noize, Alpha & Necromante, Chamanz, Nestor Guzman and Sergio Dueñas, among others. In 2017 joined the team of The Ritual Club in Ibagué, Colombia, as one of its resident DJs and was part of the important SYLUM cycle created by the The Hindie Corporation THC label, located in Bogotá.
For the past couple of years he has divided his time between his born place and Buenos Aires (city he loves deeply), where he has worked as a promoter for the renowned nightclub UNDER CLUB and also improved his skills as a DJ, sharing invaluable moments with many of the pioneer artists in the Argentine scene. Has previously worked also as a promoter on several local labels such as The Hindie Corporation THC, Techsound, Insane Techno and black box. Currently advances his training as an electronic music producer and is part of the Bogota label Distortion as resident DJ and promotion manager.
