READ HER STORY:

July 2020 I gave birth to our third child, which was a girl. Finally my dreams came true & I felt whole. I had extremely bad post partum after her birth, nothing like with my sons. I did not breast feed or pump. First sign was my right ni**le was inverted, I just assumed that my body was trying to get back to normal after having a daughter. Then the blood started coming out of that same ni**le. Called my obgyn because I trusted him, he took care of my for all three pregnancies. He found a lump but repeatedly said " I can assure you it's not cancer ". I was still fine at this point. A week or so later I had an appointment at the hospital I spent several hours there getting multiple mammograms ultrasounds and a biopsy done. After my biopsy she told me she was certain it was cancer and I was still OK at this point. Until I came home and try to say the word cancer ... my husband jumped up so quick & I just Collapse in his arms crying. They called me on a Tuesday around 5pm & confirmed it was cancer. My husband was sobbing and I was numb but ok. December 21st 2020 I had a double mastectomy, One month later I had my 1st infusion done I did not make it to my next infusion before I was diagnosed again but now stage 4. I had an unexpected hospital stay for a few days my liver Enzymes were up and that's when they found my cancer had moved to my liver I had 2 spots there and I had 2 spots on my spine. I've had radiation done to my spine and I've had cryoablation done to my liver. I switched my care to karmanos who specializes in cancer. I was not treated like a priority at u of m & they missed a cancer spot from their images that karmanos found. I switch my care because I realized I needed to be an admit for my life and I'm still trying to do that by learning and getting more professional opinions. I've had two infections in my right breast ( a week in the hospital each time ) , second one I lost my implant because my breast was so infected. First infection on my right breast was because of chemo the 2nd one was because I got a loop recorder removed because it migrated into my breast but they had to cut me twice to get it out and 1 of the Incision got infected. I'm in chronic pain 24 hours A-day. As long as my treatment is working I'm alive when my treatment stops working that's when cancer will appear and hopefully they can catch it on time before it spreads again.

TOMORROW WE WILL BE DONATING THE PROFITS FROM OUR RAFFLE TO HELP Gardner AND FAMILY.
