Love is pretty much the meaning of life. Therefore it is so nice that we have a one day a year specifically for celebrating it. It does seem however, that in our current society, Valentines day normally means celebrating romantic love. I think we should celebrate love in whatever form comes. It is always very exciting when the next wave of summer flowers come. I loved using the astilbe flowers, of which the first blooms were ready last week. (Astilbe is the creamy spires covered in tiny white buds you can see in the photo) They went so well with the sweetly scented, cream coloured Sweet Peas, which also have just started flowering in my garden. Anyway if you would like to order a bouquet, I deliver every Tuesday. You can order through my website www.companyofflowers.com.
