It is always very exciting when the next wave of summer flowers come. I loved using the astilbe flowers, of which the first blooms were ready last week. (Astilbe is the creamy spires covered in tiny white buds you can see in the photo) They went so well with the sweetly scented, cream coloured Sweet Peas, which also have just started flowering in my garden.
