Ashley specializes in an art style blending anime and pinup while making custom products like stickers, keychains, jewelry, and even tote bags! We’re excited to feature her work in our artist section at Richmond Music Hall on 2/28!

Richmond has been very good to us in the years we’ve done Anime Night. It’s a city full of talent, amazing art, incredible cosplayers, and a love for live music! Returning to Anime Night for our shows in Philly at World Cafe Live and Baltimore at Ottobar is metal vocalist and frontman powerhouse: Sam Allison of A Moment In Pompeii. We brought Sam to Anime Night in Pittsburgh for the first time The Anime Band debuted The Rumbling and we’re proud to bring him back for two new shows.

With so many great vendors over the years, we’re always excited to bring something new, but nothing has excited us quite like this one! Whimsical Road Records is an on-site record shop specializing in anime, j-rock, VGM, and k-pop vinyl that will be appearing at our Philadelphia Anime Night event with a collection of their favorite records to purchase.

Transcending time to join us from Anime Night’s past, the most talented master cosplayer and multi-prize winner, Electric Seafoam joins us to return as our Cosplay Host not just for Richmond, but for Norfolk as well.

As the story tells, Ren was actually the first person to ever host an Anime Night outside of our home city of Pittsburgh, and joined us for the second full scale Anime Night ever that took place here in Richmond. It’s been almost two years since then, and we’re delighted to bring Ren back to the fold now that our event has grown to where it is today!

Ren has worked with brands like Hot Topic, Her Universe, and has been featured in magazines like Cosplay Culture as well major conventions like Cosplay World and Anime Ocean City. She’s an incredibly talented seamstress and artist that pours her entire self into each character she brings to life, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her back with us at Anime Night! Ren will be hosting our Cosplay Exhibitions both nights, and registration is open right now at our website in our bio. Grab your tickets and come show us your skills Virginia!

We’re proud to share we’ve partnered with MiAnime - Michigan Anime Conventionfor our inaugural Michigan event at The Magic Bag! One of the greatest joys of operating in this industry at a national level is getting to meet such incredible folks across the country with such an emphasis on the love for the communities they foster.

The team at Mi Anime will be at Anime Night while we’re in Ferndale, and we’re excited to give them a chance to speak on their event, and talk to the community directly about the amazing things they’re working on. Additionally, they’ll be giving away two tickets for our event over at their channels, so stay tuned for an announcement on their end on how to be eligible to win! Winner will be chosen on February 6th! We’re looking forward to connecting at our event, and showing how strong the Michigan anime community is, and even more so, we’re looking forward to throwing an over the top celebration for all of you! If you’ve been to an Anime Night, you know one of the highlights of our event is our live rendition of the original Pokemon Theme. We’ve had so many incredibly talented folks join us for it, including the OG himself, Jason Paige. We knew, if we were taking this show to Chicago, that we needed the very best in town, and by Arceus we’ve got him - the one and only Ryan Argast, of Marina City is joining the show!

Ryan Argast is a vocalist, songwriter, and frontman of the alternative pop rock trio, Marina City, Argast and the band have been crowned Band of the Year by Ernie Ball, Cumulus Media and more. Argast’s signature raw vocal tone was met with multiple standing ovations from judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie beating out nearly 100,000 contestants on American Idol. In 2024 he was on the first ever Team Dan + Shay on The Voice even having the opportunity to sing with his coaches. He has also appeared on WGN news, ABC news, Daytime Chicago, MTV and has been featured on Marquee Network and ESPN singing the National Anthem for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls respectively. As a songwriter Argast has written music for television and commercials including Teen Mom 2, and the Chicago Bulls. When home from Tour Argast performs in the premier wedding band, Lake Shore Encores under Gold Coast Events, and performs solo acoustic cover sets all across Chicago’s renowned hotels and restaurants. In 2022 Argast released the solo record, Twice on Sundays, dedicated to his family. The single “Empty Chair” has been used in grade school curriculums for Poetry dissection.

We couldn’t be more excited to have such a legendary Chicago vocalist join The Anime Band live for one of the Billboard’s biggest songs ever released. We’re thrilled to announce the addition of Candy Rabbit Arts joining us as a guest artist dealer at Subterranean in Chicago! Juno is an artist based in Illinois most known for their unique custom photo shakers and their handmade reversible anime plushies among an assortment of other unique accessories!

Once we saw their Tony Tony Chomper reversible plushie, we knew we need ten, and that this would be a perfect. Candy Rabbit Arts is the second or third artist dealer to be joining us for our Chicago debut, and we couldn’t be more excited to visit such an amazing city. We’re excited to share our first of three incredible artist dealers who will be joining us in Chicago at Subterranean for our Anime Night debut in the Windy City! Maud is a local hobby illustrator who specializes in creating prints, tarot art and decks, keychains, and stickers.

Fans of series like Mashle, Frieren, and My Hero Academia can expect an assortment of unique art featured across their array of adorable accessories! At The Rinne Festival, for the first time, we decided to do a piano intermission break featuring some of our more "ballad" style songs, and we're grateful for how much you all enjoyed it!

As we've been discussing featuring some more of these songs going forward into our regular set, we thought we'd go through and pull some video from our anime brunch at City Winery this past July. We loved some of the songs so much, we decided to put a few of them on YouTube. You can check out "Mukanjyo" as performed by Luke, and "Orange" as performed by Meg on our YouTube this Monday at 10:00am EST! Hey Pittsburgh folks -

Ya’ll always ask us about the manga selection at our shows. Joy's Japanimation & Comics in Greensburg is the vendor we use! They bring a TON to Anime Night, but they have wayyyy more in store.

We can guarantee you will find a significantly larger and MUCH more affordable selection than anywhere online or through major retailers. Go check them out and find your next favorite series!

We’re unbelievably excited to share that for our final dates of our Live In Concert series of shows, we’ll be bringing out the incredibly talented TIARA Tastemaker as direct support!

Tiara is a future funk DJ, known for performing high-energy, marathon performances showcasing an emergent genre that sounds like Electro House, Disco & Funk with a hint of anime nostalgia. When he is joined by His Precious Gemstones, ‘Aqua’ and ‘Ruby’, together they form the world’s first Future Funk Idol Group.

Additionally, we’re excited to announce we will be ending this run of shows in Tiara’s home city of Norfolk at the beautiful newly operated The Annex! This is both a first for Anime Night, as well as a unique event to come to the venue, and we couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with these wonderful teams.
