Welcome to our little team, part of the wider The Ribbons Network Team!

We (Tara and Karen) have just recently welcomed Jane to our team to expand our location to now be running monthly morning networking meetings in , and .

The great thing is, that we have all come together through the power of networking and have all been members of The Ribbons Network ourselves before starting and running our own groups.

We've seen the value that being part of this membership organisation which is a support-led network can have a huge impact on us and our businesses outside of The Ribbons Network and want to help and support others to be part of it too!

Each month at The Ribbons Network we work hard to create a focussed activity based around one of our four pillars.

This month our focus is Build Relationships month and in each of our meetings we’ve set the activity for all professionals in the room to:

Be specific on who their BEST customer is and why, then with their pair create a story to introduce -
🎀 Who they are
🎀 What they do
🎀 Who their best customer is & why
🎀 Where they can find more of them
🎀 Which would make a great referral!

The most effective part is that they introduced each other in our 30 seconds of power which allowed them to refine it either more a great really clear on the message they were communicating!

This is just a snippet of some of the types of activities that are included in EVERY morning meeting you will attend at The Ribbons Network!

🌟 Welcoming Michele to Our Guildford Networking Group! 🌟

We are really excited to introduce Michele Marriott, one of our newest members, who joined us right at the start of her exciting new business journey! 🎉

Michele recently trained as a Celebrant and took a leap of faith by stepping into the networking world before even officially launching her business, Mimi Marriott Ceremonies. When she first attended our group, she had no business name, no branding, and was still shaping her strategy.

Since then, working with fellow members and a boost in confidence, she has:
✅ Established her business name
✅ Designed her branding & printed business cards
✅ Started building her website
✅ Had professional photos taken

📣 We love a member upgrade - it’s a true testament to the power of networking! Members often decide to take the next step and go for more when a membership works so well in one location.

This time, we’re excited to celebrate Billy from Surrey Solar Solutions! After a year as a member, Billy has decided to upgrade his membership to include our location too. Even better, he’ll be sharing this opportunity with his apprentice, Jude, ensuring their business is represented in both locations.

This upgrade means double the networking opportunities, stronger relationships with members across both groups AND the wider network, and twice the support to help them thrive. It’s a fantastic move for their business and their personal development.

For Jude, who is new to the business world, this has been an invaluable chance to step into networking, build his confidence, and experience tremendous support along the way. He’s already feeling the benefits and is eager to grow even further through his membership.

Mother and daughter duo and two halves of the brain.

This was us enjoying some mother and daughter time on Tara's birther weekend at the end of Jan!

We are really excited about the year ahead for Surrey, here's what you can expect:
🎀 We are looking to grow into another location (incoming Farnham with the wonderful Jane joining our team) 👀
🎀 We aim to expand our existing groups in Woking and Guildford to provide even more opportunities for members
🎀 We will be running quarterly Surrey evening pop up events! (Feb date coming soon!) 👀
🎀 Tara will be having her second baby come April so will be stepping back from a few meetings and Karen will be leading the way!

Exciting News! New Surrey Meeting Launching This March!

We are thrilled to announce that Jane will be hosting our brand-new Surrey meeting in Farnham! Mark your calendars for 13th March and stay tuned for the big reveal of our new venue!

Jane has been a valued member of The Ribbons Network for several years, starting in Hampshire and later expanding her membership to include Surrey. She has gone from strength to strength, not only gaining plenty of benefits directly for herself and her business RHL Business Vision, but also supporting her fellow members and welcoming new ones into our community.

We couldn't think of a better person to host our next meeting, and we’re so excited to grow the opportunities for networking in the region.
