Pop Up Pub
After its record-breaking start last week, the Pop-Up Pub will now run every Friday over the summer, up to and including Sept 3rd. Each week it will be hosted by a different pair of volunteers. As always serving will be from 18:00 to 20:30.
We have another keg this week - a golden ale from Little Ox.
It would really help us out if you could remember the following (and tell your friends/family since not everyone sees this):
- Please bring your own glasses for wine, beer, G&Ts etc. This helps us reduce transmission risk, and saves the planet (fewer plastic glasses needed).
- Payment is by card / contactless only. We accept ApplePay and other similar device payments too.

The first Pop up Pub of 2021 was a brilliant success..!

Rules
Anyone of any age, resident in Tackley Parish is permitted to enter. There will be no differentiation between ages, we are looking for an impressive logo irrespective of a competitor’s age or experience. There is no restriction on technique or medium, though obviously, anything 3D or composed of separate items stuck together will not work successfully.
Entries may be i) emailed as attached documents to: [email protected]
or ii) as hard copy documents placed in the box provided in the shop.
All entries should be physically sized at 8” x 6”
emailed versions, in jpg or pdf format @ 300 dpi. *
Hard copy entries should include, on the reverse, the name, telephone number and address of the competitor. Emailed entries should include the same information in the body of the email.
The closing date for the receipt of entries by either means of delivery is before 18.00 (6 o’clock) on Friday 23 September 2021. The winner will be announced via Tackley Emails as soon as possible after the closing date.
Vouchers will be awarded valued for a First prize, of £30, with two Runners-up prizes of £10. The TVMH Management Committee shall decide the winner, and their decision in any matter pertaining to the competition will be final. No discussion will be entered into.
---------
*Jpeg or pdf files have to have a physical size as well a dpi size, 8” x 6” @ 300 dpi is quite large, but allows for further enlargement, to A3 and beyond without losing sharpness.

This atmospheric photograph from February 2016 shows the primary school in the centre, but to one side, nestling in its own shadow, is the village hall. Lots of coal and wood fires that day.

The Parish Council has announced -
Remembrance Day Wednesday 11.11.20
Sadly this year we can not have our usual Remembrance Day gathering but this important day can not pass unrecognised.
The Parish Council will have a short service at the Memorial Hall on Wednesday when the names of our war dead will be read out followed be a two minutes silence, a short prayer and the laying of wreaths by the PC and Scout leaders.
This is not a public gathering but individuals standing at a safe social distance in the carpark is acceptable providing masks are worn. The shop will be closed for about 15 minutes during this time.
