This was one of the first flat lays I’ve ever done. Some of you may or not know how much I’ve always loved cameras, wether they’re vintage film cameras, or in this case the video camera I used for many years to film bmx.

My last and favorite shot from my shoot with . A little back story about the bike taken from his Instagram- this is a Monarch bike from the 60’s that he found behind a barn at his parents house, then sat behind the bike shop he works at for 8 years. After doing repairs on the front wheel, pedals and saddle the bike was back in action. I’m going to write up a blog post sometime this week about the photos and a bit more about this bike! Enjoy

This is by far one of my favorite product images I’ve ever shot. This was from my Hallmark portfolio of a product. Most of my work I shoot is using some form of studio strobe. It’s always nice to mix it up and use something different like natural light. These are some mouth watering cinnamon buns for I shot! Enjoy!

Who doesn’t love chocolate chip cookies? From growing up, coming back into the house after playing in the snow to current day where we don’t leave the house and my girlfriend making cookies on our snow day, nothing beats the smell or feeling of a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie! 🤤

I love location lighting. I also love using shadows to direct the image. Most of the time when I do my location work I use one strobe, which is on the subject, however once and a while it’s always nice to mix it up. I need to do this more often. Key light is a b1 with a 33 inch shoot through umbrella, then the background light is a Profoto acute 600b battery kit and a raw reflector disk.

I love the idea of taking someone and photographing them in their environment. Not always somewhere you’d expect to see a photograph, especially a portrait being taken. Here’s a photo of my good friend in his garage working on the truck. •
