This doesn’t happen everyday!

A husband and wife had divorced something like 10 years ago. They had 4 children.

They sought to get back together and get married after 10 years. It was the first time I conduct a marriage contract where the witnesses to the marriage were the young men that are the children of this couple.

I was so happy for them as they reunite under one roof again. Ramadan is around the corner. I made dua for them, and asked Allah to bless their Ramadan this year. I could see tears in the mother’s eyes with her children around her.

Whilst everyone will have a different Ramadan this year, this family will enjoy the company of each other in this blessed month In Sha’ Allah.

May Allah bless all of you in this beautiful month.

Marriage is not all roses and flowers. You will fight. You will argue. You will get upset. You will have your ups and downs.

A god-conscious spouse will deal with trialling situations the way Allah wants it to happen. Don't be fooled by the AMG or the Gucci apparel.

And I'm not talking about a person who wears a beard or a Jilbab. Thats a shallow understanding of God-consciousness.

I'm talking about someone that is confronted with an argument and decides to understand the other side, before he fires back 3 lines of reasoning. Why? Because he knows that he is not perfect. And he knows that he could be wrong. So he is willing to listen and compromise.

He is conscious that Allah is perfect, and he is conscious that he is not.

Congratulations to our Brother Tamim and sister Modhurima on their Nikah/KK. May Allah bless the both of them.
