Last part! I promise!...
Another thing I always pack? Earplugs. Weddings can be joyful, loud occasions.
This wedding was a big success! We captured some beautiful shots of our beautiful couple, and can I just say how wonderful it is to work with other wedding professionals that just excel at what they do?
Brooke (planner) goes above and beyond for her couples and Crystal (photographer) works with me like we’re on the same team (because we are!) to make sure I get the shots I need.
Kindryn (florist) always does beautiful work (I’m sad I didn’t get to bump into her! Did you know she was once my bodyguard in Vegas? Totally true.)
There are so many more vendors and staff that work before the wedding or behind the scenes that don’t get a shoutout, but it takes a village to pull off a wedding! So cheers to everyone and thank you for doing what you do!

Also, I apologize to all my clients for the amount of times I say "cute" during a session. I had no idea until I watched some BTS video of this shoot.

I have a lot of clients who tell me they're not photogenic.
That's hogwash.
I really think they mean that they're not comfortable being on camera.
That's okay. I'm not comfortable on that side of the camera either! My face starts twitching, I sweat uncontrollably, and sometimes I even break out in a rash.
*But* when I'm working with my couples I am happy to let all my awkwardness loose in hopes that you can be at ease knowing that *at least you're not the most awkward part of the shoot.* 😆
I also give you lots and lots of direction!
I promise you we'll have fun, *and* prove that you (yes YOU) really are photogenic!

✨ Mothers! ✨
Too often the mother of the bride and mother of the groom are the last ones to get themselves ready (I know, there's always so much to do!)
But the MoB will actually want to be dressed and ready *before* the bride puts on her dress, and likewise the MoG will want to be ready to help the groom with his boutonniere.
Sometimes they are busy helping with the flower girls, or decor (and other coordinating duties that should be reserved for a coordinator!... But that's another post.)
And sometimes they're just the last ones scheduled in the hair and makeup chair. I actually think it best when moms are one of the first to finish hair & makeup!
However you schedule it, just be sure to let moms know this important timeline information, so they feel ready and relaxed (not rushed and stressed!)

✨ALWAYS✨ try on your dress with the exact undergarments you plan to wear on the wedding day.
Sooooo many times brides are making adjustments a couple hours before the wedding because...
⬇️ Undergarments show through the lace
⬇️ There's not enough support
⬇️ It's uncomfortable
⬇️ It doesn't fit right
Rolling with it and changing plans is a good thing!
There's just a lot of panic that could be avoided by practicing beforehand and figuring out what works for you *before* the big day!
