We are delighted to announce the return of the award-winning Philleigh Way as our food partner for this year’s Park House Opera.
Rupert and his talented team have taken on the exciting challenge of matching their culinary creations with the vibrant spirit of Strauss’s Viennese music, and, as always, they have surpassed all expectations!
On our gala nights (Friday and Saturday), you will be treated to a selection of Viennese-inspired canapés while enjoying your drinks in the charming Walled Garden. This will be followed by a sumptuous main course of Wiener Saftgulasch, an authentic Austrian goulash featuring slow-cooked lean beef in a rich, gravy, accompanied by garlic and rosemary potatoes and braised red cabbage.
For dessert, indulge in a delightful homemade Viennese Opera Cake, crafted by Laura Fawcett and the Rose Bakery team. This delicious treat consists of layered sponge, buttercream, and chocolate, all topped with a glossy ganache.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Rupert will offer an alternative to your picnic with his exceptional grill.
He has created a special recipe for his own Wiener Wurst Sausage, which will be served with delicious Bratkartoffeln (roasted potatoes) and a variety of mustards, sauerkraut, and red cabbage.
