Allred Rental Kitchen Mini Makeover

This took a long time to finish thanks to my inability to use a ruler and measure the correct size of hardware🤦‍♀️ It took three tries to get it right🤪 But I am happy with the end result! It just feels more me and that’s exactly what I wanted!

Very hard to get a good, naturally lit picture of our kitchen, but the counter tops are almost done and I wanted to snap a picture with the pretty flowers I got from the farmers market this morning! I think I decided on black hardware, I think that will be a great finishing touch for our little rental kitchen makeover.

…And a very satisfying AFTER! When I got asked to help redecorate this home I was nervous! My job was to do a total accents do-over while not replacing any of the furniture. I wasn’t sure how I was going to mix Tuscan style furniture with updated, modern accents. However, I was happy with the turnout! It looks clean and fresh while still keeping to the integrity of the home’s original style. We swapped the large picture over to the other wall, replaced the mirror, relocated some books, and added a few classic pieces.

Repurposing like no one’s business this spring!😂 These colors and florals just make me so happy so I’m going to use them as much as I can!

This project was for the dance recital last Saturday. I learned that I CANNOT blow up 200+ balloons by myself🤪 Luckily the Broulim’s workers were so kind to me in my stress of such a substantial request. I felt so bad!

Another fun part of this project are the handmade paper flowers. They are so easy, but make such an impact I think. Grateful to all my siblings for helping me get this stage ready to go in so little time!

We had a baby shower for the beautiful Lexi on Saturday! Since it was spring and I had all of the beautiful arrangements from dyw on hand, I decided to save myself some work and repurpose them! I love the pop of colors against a clean white and gold background!

A few highlights that I wanted to share:
1. I always like to create a focal point as a place for people to take pictures. Wrapping paper and wall paper are great options and super cheap! I loved how this white and gold polka dot paper turned out!
2. Crepe paper is inexpensive and so cute! I created this garland in 1 night using some staples and string. That’s it!
3. Menu: Lemon Tarragon Pasta Salad, Roasted Mini Bell Peppers with Herb Cream Cheese, Rolls, Pavlova (my new obsession!! Anyone interested in what this is!?) Caramel Brownies, Sugar Cookies, and Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies with Chocolate Chips
4. Postermywall.com is a great source I always use for making cute signs!
