Happy May 1st, everybody! I really and truly feel like I blinked and April was over. What a whirlwind month!
I almost can’t believe it, but I’ve just hit 3 years of full time employment with Florence Florals this week and it has me looking back on everything that the last 3 years has brought my way.
I feel so lucky to have made it to this point and feel so honored that this is how I get to spend my days. To see that I am still evolving as a business owner and designer shows me that we are always evolving and we never stop learning.
It feels appropriate that I’ve hit this milestone and am also working through the biggest week of my flower career! It feels so good to see this business continue to grow, and I’m just so grateful for all who have stuck around and followed along on this journey!

Cannot believe that it’s the last week of February already!! This winter has flown by, and now with warmer temperatures, blooming daffodils, and budding trees we are READY for spring!
This week is the start of so many of our preparations for our full spring season! Tying up loose ends with our April couples, ordering supplies, and sending final details before we start to see all of it come together. We are READY!!

Would you believe it if I told you this little flower account is just THREE followers away from the 1,000 mark? I’ve been excitedly watching the number tick up over the last few weeks and have been anticipating this milestone now for a little while.
When I started this account in 2020 as a way to work through and find my way back to myself creatively, I never imagined at the time that it would turn into my full blown career a few months later.
Finding flowers and building a career and this community has been one of the greatest joys of my life in the last three or so years. So many of you have been on this journey with me since the beginning, watching from the sidelines and cheering me on. Hi! 👋🏻 I’m Kaitlyn!
I’m entering into my third full year of doing flowers full time and that just feels so surreal to say! Before doing flowers, I found my way to Nashville from Florida to pursue a career in the music industry. I had to do the pandemic pivot, and have been fortunate enough to find a good career in bringing beautiful floral creations to life!
Prior to flowers finding their way to me, I always struggled with not feeling like a very creative person. When I say that floral design caught me off guard, I truly mean it! It has been so fun over the last few years to tap into this part of myself that I lost for so long. It’s the coolest feeling to just turn my mind off and just let my hands and the flowers guide me. That’s the best way that I can explain how my creativity works! Who knew it was just hanging out within me all this time? Here’s to more of that in the coming year!
