Stopped by the new location for Interbeing today, and this tree stood out to me. Its massive presence and the cozy open space underneath felt like the perfect gathering spot.

Here’s the plan: we’re laying out blankets, sharing snacks, sipping drinks, and having great conversations. The DJ booth and speakers will all be on the ground, and everyone will be sitting on blankets.

Beyond the Noise: A Journey in Silence

As I sit quietly, observing the firelight flicker in the night, I’m reminded of how far I’ve come—from being lost in the noise of the world to finding stillness within myself. For years, I lived on autopilot, driven by conditioning, chasing illusions that never brought peace. I didn’t know there was another way.

But when I finally stopped, truly stopped, and sat in silence, the truth revealed itself: we carry so much unnecessary weight—ego, fear, comparison, judgment. These are the illnesses that blind us, keep us trapped in cycles of suffering. They whisper lies, telling us we’re not enough, that we need more, that happiness is always just out of reach.

Yet, healing begins when we dare to confront these stories. It’s not easy—it’s a death of sorts, a letting go of who we think we are. But on the other side of that surrender lies clarity, freedom, and a profound connection to the present moment.

To anyone feeling lost, overwhelmed, or burdened: pause. Sit with yourself in the stillness. Observe the stories your mind tells you and ask, “Are these truly mine? Do they serve me?” You’ll find that peace isn’t something to chase; it’s what remains when you let go of everything else.

We’re bringing together great vibes, tasty food, and the best bumpin house music, featuring DJs Donavin Velez, Brother Pate, and a special guest set by Cuillere. This is your chance to kick back, enjoy the music, and connect with friends.

Reflections from the Silence: Four Months of Focusing Inward

Four months so far into my vow of silence, it's felt like a profound journey into the core of my being. I've been confronting the deep-seated anxieties, fears, and the habits that have been my shadows in recent years.

Navigating this path hasn't been straightforward. Every day brings its own set of trials that push me to my limits. Each day, I'm doing what I think of as 'reverse reps'—not building up, but stripping away. I'm shedding noise, reducing stress, and letting go of old habits.

The essence of this journey is reduction. Each effort I make doesn't just lighten my physical load, but also clears my mental and emotional clutter. My goal is to distill my existence down to what truly matters to my well-being.

Looking forward to 2025!
I am not trying to reinvent myself; I'm simply returning to the basics of being, attentively living in the now, and accepting things as they are.

I hope everyone is having an amazing Christmas and enjoying the holidays. As we head into the New Year, I’m excited to share something special we’ve been working on at The Underground ATX.

In 2025, we’re introducing a brand-new event called InterBeing.

InterBeing highlights the deep interconnectedness of all things, reminding us that nothing exists in isolation. Everything relies on everything else to exist.

This will be a chill outdoor experience with incredible music and unique DJs. I can’t wait to reveal the location and the vibe we’re cooking up.

Hey everyone, I could use your help. Many of you followed my journey with Nala and her puppies—it was such a rewarding experience, and I was so proud to find homes for all the puppies and eventually for Nala too.

Unfortunately, the person who adopted Nala won’t be able to keep her. She lives on a farm, and while Nala is an amazing dog, she’s been causing some trouble by chasing goats. She also has two small children, and since Nala is big and goofy, she’s accidentally knocked them down a couple of times. It’s just not the right fit.

Her only other option is to go back to the kennel, where she’d wait to be adopted again, and I wouldn’t be able to see her anymore. Nala is a fantastic dog—she’s fixed, up to date on her shots, super friendly, and gets along great with other dogs. She’s goofy, fun, and just an all-around great companion.

If anyone is looking to rescue a dog, please let me know. I’d hate for her to end up back in the kennel. Also, feel free to tag anyone who might be interested.
