How fun is this?

Dried floral makes the absolute best confetti!

Most venues will not allow confetti to be tossed because:
1. It makes a mess
2. It’s extremely hard to clean up
3. Not great for environment

Somebody somewhere was an absolute mastermind when they thought of using crunched up dried floral instead. It’s exactly the opposite of confetti while still giving the same fun effect. It’s natural, and biodegradable. The mess it can make is blown away by wind, and it doesn’t look out of place.

Pro tip: have your wedding coordinator hand out the dried floral to seated guests right before the ceremony starts with clear instructions to toss it as they are walking toward them, after ceremony. Some guests may want to toss as she walks down, so be sure to specify the newlywed walk. 🤍

I have a serious passion for all-inclusive mountain microweddings, and backyard receptions.

There are no rules. It always is 100% your day no matter the wedding type, but the elopement/microwedding niche has such a non-traditional creative spark. There’s something about the elegance and simplicity that tickles my heart strings... it just makes me so happy to watch the dream unfold after months of details. ❤️ This is one trend I never want to end.

That squealing sound that comes out when you get a little too excited. No, I wouldn’t know anything about it! 😉 This day in the Boise National forest is one I will always remember. I’ll remember the sleepless night before the wedding doing floral, I’ll remember the sore muscles and feet that came from the heavyweight handmade tables we made carried across a couple acre property. I’ll remember not remembering to pack EXTRA water, but most importantly I’ll remember how it all unfolded so beautifully. I’ll remember how much Godly love was shared between this beautiful couple, and how their whimsical day and candle lit night was passionate and intimate. I wish you two a lifetime of happiness!!

The early bird gets the worm.

This is especially true when planning a wedding. I’ve been hired for weddings as far away as 2 years. I’ve also been hired for weddings that needed to happen in 2 weeks! 😮
If you’re in the planning stage, I know you are so ready to get married...but are you ready? That venue you’ve been drooling over doesn’t have your date available, and the photographer you’ve been dreaming of is booked...

Don’t trade getting married quickly over your dream team.

More time equals more money to spend on what you really want. Remember 6 year old you? She’s still there and she still has the same dream.

Now imagine, you had two years of collecting vendors and design details. Your wedding is close, and your vendors are paid off...you can do what you want! Maybe that is to buy a second dress for the reception and have a champagne fountain...or maybe have a lot more more money to spend on your honeymoon! 💵

The hustle of a wedding day is no joke! So often it will go so fast that you’ll barely even blink and it’s gone. One of the best things you can do to help that, besides hiring a good team of vendors to help make it memorable, is to make sure that you have plenty of time to take time. Take time with your new spouse, make the time to take moments of peace and quiet, just the two of you. This can be done a few ways.

•You can do a first look, and after some great photos have been taken, ask the photographer to step back a ways to let you two just soak up the feeling of getting wed.

•If you’re opting for transitional isle look, you can do an intimate first touch and read letters to one another prior to ceremony.

• You can grab a plate of appetizers during cocktail hour and hide away in the bridal suite before your grand entrance into your reception.

•You can talk, laugh and cry together during your first dance...one last “omg we are married” moment!

As children it seems that everywhere we turn there are signs saying things like “follow your dreams”. When you’re young, you hardly know what that means. Does it mean try harder for the A team in basketball? Maybe it’s straight A’s or the coolest friends who have your back. When we get older we realize that it’s harder then it seemed. Life is HARD! But then, out of nowhere, that dream you had just a glimpse of shows itself a little bit more. Those steps that seemed out of reach etched just a little bit closer. Now, because you have trusted and had faith in your own journey, the dream is within reach. That is the breath of life. That is how you define passion. Grasp it!!!

Pro tip #1: 𝘐𝘛 𝘐𝘚 𝘠𝘖𝘜𝘙 𝘋𝘈𝘠, 𝘠𝘖𝘜𝘙 𝘚𝘈𝘠.

I can’t even count on all my fingers and toes how many times I’ve been told “We would love that but there’s no way my family would agree to that” or “Yeah, our guest list is doubled because my mom invited all her friends”

First off, don’t let your mom invite people you don’t know.

Second, let your wedding be unique to you. The best way for you to have as little regrets as possible is by being true to you and you’re fiancé’s wedding day wishes. Don’t let your friends and family dictate all of the decisions on how YOUR wedding will go, heck don’t even let your fiancé dictate them all. There’s probably going to come a time in the planning process where the two of you just cannot agree. My recommendation when this arises is to vocalize your enthusiasm. If it’s something you’re passionate about, explain that to the very finest detail. Showcase it. Show your passion... and then be open when they express interest in other areas. I always say that the first real test of marriage is planning it. Don’t worry though, I’m here to help if you need. Weddings are meant to be fun and happy, not stressful. ♥️♥️

Let’s talk personal vows for just a sec. If you’re on the verge of not doing them I’m here to convince you otherwise. Not only do they invoke so much more emotion during the ceremony but they also serve as a reminder for you when times get tough. In the years to come, many will have arguments and sometimes even forget how much they truly love their spouse. Re-reading and reflecting on your wedding day vows is a much cheaper option to just wip right into counseling. I’m not saying not to see a counselor but sometimes just putting yourself back into the emotion of reading them out loud to the love of your life will help get you back to where you need to be. Pro tip: Write them down beautifully on paper, and if you aren’t hiring a videographer, have your photographer gets some shots of them. Then you’ll always have an easy access digital copy of your beautiful handwritten love just incase you misplace the paper.
