At the Pumpkin Festival!! Everyone keeps asking if they are “real”, yes the flowers are FRESH CUT! And the pumpkins are FRESH CARVED!!

Today I set up a little Halloween themed flower booth at the Nerdy Flea Market in Cookeville and it was quite a success!!!! And the volunteers running the show were so helpful!! Other vendors were amazing!!! It was a GOOD DAY!!

Absolutely burning fall arrangement!!! The color is just unbelievable!! I love it so much!!! Red surprise lilies (or equinox lilies, cause that’s when these bloom) and 2 red roses.

Plan A: Grow beautiful flowers and sell them on Sat
*flowers aren't blooming and there isn't enough*
Plan B: order wholesale flowers, make cool arrangements, sell them on Sat
*Sewer line busted*
Plan C: Get sewer fixed, have a great week, make cool arrangements, sell them on Sat
*Wrong Flowers arrived, some dead*
Plan D: ask for a partial refund on wholesale flowers, use this as a creative challenge, sell stuff on Sat
*throw out my back and nearly fall over whilst still recovering from last week's gardening accident*
Plan F: disassemble spooky arrangements, re-make them into mason-jar-bouquets, send them to the local senior care facility, TAKE SATURDAY OFF!

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, then share it. These lovely bouquets are now cheering up someone else's day instead of reminding me of what a bad week it's been.

(I won't be at the Scarecrow Festival in Greenville this weekend. But I have a few more shows this month!)

The red spider lilies really were a surprise!! I’ve been here 4 years and I didn’t plant them!! Proof fairies mess with your garden while your sleeping!!

Challenge of the day: use what’s in your yard for an arrangement even if it isn’t flowers (Hence the caladium, grass, and hosta leaves)!

My apricot hibiscus is full of new buds thanks to cooler weather!! Protip: they might seem like they’d love heat, but this tropical beauty looses its blooms when it’s too hot!!! I’ll have several of these available for sale next spring!!
