Created during an intoxicated back to back DJ set somewhere in the rooftops of Ghent and quickly followed by simple-minded chortling, Umtzi Bumtzi quickly became a placeholder word and even an endearing nickname between the two creators and resident DJ’s Kairos and Safé.

The truth is we’re still coming down from last weekend. 💫 The amount of support, the quality of the music, and the feedback we got were all just out of this world.

Thank you to each and everyone of you for filling up amigo with your incredible energy, to our guests whose sets were absolutely phenomenal, and to amigo amigo for hosting our party in their amazing location. ❤️

🫶 Another crazy night in Brussels at Bonnefooi Bar Club - Brussels is behind us! So many familiar and new faces, so many smiles - everything came together for the perfect party. 😋

Firstly, we’d like to thank the staff for having been on top of everything and for being great hosts once again.

A huge shoutout to one of our favorite track blenders Mafi for pulling us into his vortex once again until sunrise. 😵‍💫

There’s nothing better than a packed floor until the end and we feel very lucky to have shared this moment with you all.

2022 was groovy as hell! We met some amazing artists and dancers, threw great parties, and dealt with some weird promoters! Looking back, it has been the most Umtzi Bumtzi year to date - and it's all because we had fun. So as we reminisce together, here are our favorite records of this year (some might sound familiar!) so that you can go into 2023 with a smile 🌈🌻

Consistently proving herself through deeper digging at every event she plays - including Horst Festival, C12, Listen Festival, Stelplaats, and a regular on Kiosk Radio and Bruzz - her name has been increasingly on the lips of the Belgian scene lately with reason.

Her sound is funky, groovy, always spot-on, and very representative of Umtzi Bumtzi’s artistic direction. Remember the name, you’re not going to want miss her this Friday as she controls Café Charlatan’s main room for the peak time slot! 💥😊

We are thrilled to announce that on the 𝟏𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 we will be back in our home territory Ghent for an Umtzi Bumtzi all-night takeover at Charlatan! 🌝🌚

Gracing the decks this time will be one of our favorite Brussels’ badass Catalina [Horst, C12] with a selection of club gems for the peak time slot. Sharing the booth with her will of course be residents Kairos & Safé to build up the energy before and close down the night after.
