🏺 Asphodel Event 3 Tickets 🏺
Tickets for this year's Asphodel event come out at the start of February! Here's what you need to know about the release.

Asphodel Event 3: 4-6 July 2025
Venue: Leslie Sell Activity Centre, Bedford

Ticket Price: £95
Deposit option: £30
Release Date: Tuesday 4th February 2025 from 7pm (existing players) or 8pm (general sale)
A link to the ticket shop will be shared on the day of release.

🌿 Player Tickets 🌿
60 player tickets* will be released across two time slots on our website. There will be a £30 deposit option for those unable to pay the full amount immediately, with the remainder due within two months (4th April 2025).

Existing players: 7pm
New players: 8pm

*There were 50 tickets for the second event, so there should be at least 10 spaces for new players. Previous games have sold out in under an hour, with some batches selling out in minutes; we recommend being there promptly at 8pm to avoid disappointment.

🔱 Crew Tickets 🔱
40 crew tickets will be released alongside the player tickets. Crewing is free and includes basic meals and snacks. A menu will be released before the event, including vegan options. If you later are unable to attend, you must let us know so we can attempt to fill your space.

Core crew, including writers and referees, should not purchase a general crew ticket, there will be separate personal confirmation of your attendance sometime in January. If you’re unsure whether this applies to you and haven’t received a message by the end of January, please message us to check.

Photographers should contact us directly to apply for slots.

⚡ Existing Players and Crew Only until 8pm ⚡
Ticket sales will pause between 7:50pm and 8pm to verify that only existing players have bought tickets during the pre-release. Any remaining tickets will go back in stock at 8pm.

7pm Player Tickets are for anyone who has played event 1 or 2.
7pm Crew Tickets are for anyone who has attended the game before in any capacity.

If you are new to Asphodel and purchase a ticket before 8pm you will be refunded and will have to repurchase the ticket at 8pm.

🍇 Waiting List 🍇
We will be holding a waiting list once tickets sell out. A separate post will go up at that point with instructions on how to join it. Previous events have had a 10-20% ticket turnover so it’s worthwhile joining if you miss out on initial ticket sales.

🎟️ Ticket Confirmation 🎟️
If your payment has been successfully received, it will show as “processing” on your account until it’s been manually verified. If you’re worried something’s gone wrong, please message Fakelore Games or email in at [email protected]

If there’s been an issue with processing your payment and tickets sell out before you can resolve it, don’t panic! Get in touch as soon as you can, and we’ll use the date and time of your first attempt at purchasing a ticket to see if you got in on time and go from there.

Here's our 2025 calendar!

We have two games next year - the third Asphodel event, and the first Ardent Spacers, a new sci-fi nerf larp.

Both games are running at our new venue in Bedford. Ticket sale details will be coming out this week; Asphodel will have slightly more tickets available than event 2 to ensure there's room for new players.

We've donated 2 tickets to our 2025 games to The LARP Noobs Podcast for this year's charity raffle, ahead of our general ticket releases early next year.

You'll have the choice of our Ancient Greek fantasy game Asphodel (4-6 July) or our new sci-fi nerf game Ardent Spacers (8-10 August).

General ticket sale dates will be announced shortly!

Today's announcement is the one containing the amazing event tickets that have been donated to the raffle! For each of the events/companies that have tickets available we will also be doing separate shoutouts!

But we are so close to £2000 in donations! Many of these events are SOLD OUT so this raffle might be your only chance to get to them!

At the start of the month, LarpCon UK held their annual UK Larp Awards, and it's a delight to announce that Asphodel LARP won *Best New Larp* and *Best Medium Larp* run in 2023! And our player James Dance won Judge's Choice for Costume in the photography awards! ⚡⚡⚡

A huge thank you to everyone who wrote in about the game, what you wrote convinced dozens of past winners on the judge's panel that the game was not only shortlist worthy, but was good enough to get a few golden daggers.

(There was some confusion about Best Overall Larp on the day; the UK Larp Awards have gotten in touch and there are no hard feelings as mistakes happen, and honestly it's compliment enough to get two top awards! But I suppose we have a challenge for future years now 😉)

🏺 New Year, New Team! 🏺

Since E1, some great people have stepped up to help run Asphodel!

I’d like to introduce you to the Asphodel Game Team. Left to right, we have Keith (he/him, that’s me!), Ren (any pronouns), Sam (he/him), and Feargus (they/them). Together, we’re writing the plot, reviewing rules, and doing online admin. We’ll be joined by Gigi during the event as our constant player-side referee with the NPC Xanthus, with various crew/NPCs popping into the game to give additional support throughout the weekend.

January will be filled with a lot of updates about the game, with more details on tickets this week, then rules updates, teasers, and tickets going on sale later in the month (after payday).
