I’m just so very grateful for my people. My clients, my vendor friends, everyone. It’s been a wild couple of weeks and no end in sight.

This photo has been living rent free in my head, but I’m not mad about it :) Flo and Ty understood the assignment.

I think it’s a tie for me on Color vs Black and White, but what do you think??

Happy Anniversary to the couple that gave me this disco ball photo. The photo a lot of people want. The photo that, when people see it, that’s all they needed to see to book me.

This is a perfect example of doing what you want to do, having inspiration photos to show me, and then having the guts to do it.

We made a great team :) AND I got a couple of lifers out of it, which just makes this even more special 🥂 Love you both. Happy Anni.

ABBY + BRANDON

It’s been a wild week over here since these two got married! Im so excited to share some of the sneaks they received last weekend. I always send a few portraits as soon as I can after I get home, and I think we are all pretty happy with these :)

Abby and Brandon did the day their way :) It was a freaking party with everyone they love most.

This wedding was a labor of love, with friends and family taking care of all the details, food, flowers…really, really special :)

Happy Monday! I needed to share these incredible photos by Emily Frazier from last week 🙌🏻

Life has been a lot. And I had a whole caption sharing some of the highlights, and then IG posted my photos with no caption 🤣

So here I am, and here’s life lately:

• I’ve realized I’m not a garden girly. And this is a big deal if you’ve known me for more than a couple of months.

• I’ve decided that I have to just love my body as it is. It’s the only one I get and it’s exhausting trying to be “perfect”. Chasing after something that doesn’t exist.

• I am uninterested in working with vendors who are not welcoming/affirming of LGBTQ+ clients and their families.

• I’ve been doing social justice work for a lot over 4 years and that has led me to take the position of Bail Specialist at Just City here in Memphis. I oversee the Memphis Community Bail Fund, as well as Jail Mail. I’ve had one foot in social justice advocacy, one foot in the arts for a long time and I feel so balanced to be doing both at this moment.

• I just started my second round of TMS, a treatment for OCD and depression. I think mental health should be a constant talking point…especially in the wedding industry and beyond.

• I’m changing and I’m excited about where I’m at and where I’m going :) change is so hard. But so worth it.

That’s what I’ve got today folks :) thank you for being my people.
