Hi Friends!

It has been way too long since I have given Oak and Ivy socials any love, so I wanted to pop back in and give a life update. In October I had a lot of life changes and have spent the last 9 months figuring out a new pace of life between owning a wedding planning business, becoming a director of a non-profit and navigating life's ups and downs but I finally can see the light at the end of the transition tunnel.

I have still been doing weddings behind the scenes and am excited for my upcoming fall weddings! We are booking for 2025 (lock in those 2024 prices while you can!) and would love to be a part of your wedding day.

A vulnerable post for your Tuesday afternoon. As I’ve started wedding planning myself, my list continues to grow of things I wish people said to you during the process. Maybe we will make this a little series because I could go on and on.

I wish someone would have told me that this can be the happiest time but also a time where you have the space to grieve an idea of what you pictured for your wedding. This can come in many forms, as most Covid brides learned quickly, but for me it’s the loss of knowing my grandma won’t be in attendance to a day I always pictured her being at. Last night I was driving home from picking up my wedding dress and I couldn’t stop crying knowing that she wouldn’t get the chance to see me in it. I had the privilege of asking her to be our flower girl before she passed away and have every intentions of honoring her to my best ability but nothing can compare to her physically being there. Just reminding you that weddings are hard. emotionally hard. If you’re someone who is also grieving the loss of important people on a big day in your life, I see you.

Hi Everyone!! I’ve been MIA for the better part of last year and wanted to take time to apologize but also thank you all for still being here. Last year, as most everyone knows, was crazy for weddings so I was very busy behind the scenes working weddings and prepping for 2022 at the same time.

In complete transparency, social media was at the bottom of my list last year. I took a personal hiatus other than a few post for around 8 months. I lost my Grandma at the beginning of 2021 and it shook my world and was something I needed to focus on grieving. As well as being in a full time job that wasn’t a match for me, I had what felt like no creativity left in me. But, I’m very excited for 2022 after putting in the work with 2021 I have no doubt that this year will be great. I have a lot of beautiful wedding photos to share with you guys from last year and am so excited for my upcoming weddings.

We do still have some dates available so if you’d love to chat more about what we can do for you, I’m here!! Thank you all for everything, I couldn’t do it without you! 💓

I can’t handle how sweet this picture is! Between the gorgeous flowers and the beautiful people, I’m so thankful I got to pull this styled shoot together with some great people. Watch for more pictures to come, you won’t want to miss them!
