This past few weeks has been one of the toughest weeks of my life. We lost my brother, a son, a father, a nephew, a cousin, and a beautiful soul. My faith has been tested in ways I could have never imagined so unexpectedly. Experiencing loosing a loved one is one of the hardest things to endure in life. I’ve been there when I lost my mother but it’s here again. 🥹

The pain of losing a sibling is something I wouldn’t wish upon anyone when a mother and father has to also bury their child. This week I have found myself navigating through a range of emotions, from deep sadness to guilt and everything in between. This unexpected loss has thrown my world upside down.

I’ve been faced again with the harsh reality that life can change in an instant, Not only that, planning a funeral for your brother who was only 38 and had a full life ahead of him makes you reflect on how precious and short life really is. This is a reminder to cherish the ones you love, because they can be here today and gone tomorrow.

As I head back home to Philadelphia to celebrate my brother’s life and legacy, I am asking for prayers of strength and peace over the Wisdom and Davis family. The journey has been emotionally challenging and I know that facing the familiar surroundings without his presence will be difficult. In the midst of this grief, I also seek the support and comfort that can only come from a higher source my Lord and Savior. I know my brother is rejoicing in the kingdom of heaven.

Thank you for all who have called and checked on us during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers mean the world to me. I am so grateful for the love and compassion that surrounds our family, and I hold onto the hope that, with time and strength, Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4 weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5 🙏🏽

Time really flies when you're filled with excitement and anticipation. Reflecting back on that joyful time, it's amazing to see how everything came together to create a magical day for the happy couple.

I am passionate about creating magical experiences for our Wed couples and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. Not only that, I love celebrating life’s milestones with elegance and grace.

As a business owner, I have faced numerous challenges when starting a business in the industry without any prior experience. Learning how to become an entrepreneur was a daunting task, especially without the necessary tools and resources I needed to succeed especially as a minority and brown woman. However, I persevered and dedicated countless hours to mastering my craft as a business owner.

I am thrilled to announce Brown Girl Society a dynamic company based right here in Houston, Texas. Our mission is to empower and inspire women through Education, Networking, and Advocacy. We envision a vibrant community where women have access to the resources they need to thrive in their business endeavors. Through our members-only safe space, we foster a global network of Brown Business Centered Women, providing support and encouragement.
