Tonight on Solid State Radio you will be ushered into the realm of the Prog Rock Empire.

In addition to our usual playlist of bangers, every Thursday I throw in some good old progressive rock to freshen up your night!

Henry Cow were an English experimental rock group, founded at the University of Cambridge in 1968 by multi-instrumentalists Fred Frith and Tim Hodgkinson.

With similarities to King Crimson and Frank Zappa, I think Henry Cow scratches a prog itch that you didn't even know you had!

We here at Solid State Radio strive to bring you the best bands Michigan has to offer. Monday, April 1st, I continue that tradition as I welcome Vera Noir into the studio!

Tonight at 10pm! We drop a different kinda deuce tonight everyone! Instead of two separate bangers back to back, the boys in Kush Robinson have concocted a tubular mash-up of their original song Simple Things and the Phish classic Steam! 2 songs in one! A dynamic deuce, indeed!

We recorded an extra 3rd track called School, and its quite the romp!

I'll be having Lapeer MI punk rockers Newmatix in studio this evening! These guys skipped rehearsal to come perform a couple killer tunes for us tonight! They also joined me in a few comedy skits. I'll sprinkle them all in after 10!

Tonight, shortly after 9pm... Flint's very own Caligula makes their Solid State Radio debut with yours truly. The single is called "The Great Lie" and it is one of the heaviest tracks I've heard in a long time. The vocalist is an old friend, and he outdoes himself here.
