Nothing says Christmas like a wreath and a good feed!!! Well done to everyone on the PTA who worked hard to organise a lovely evening to raise funds for the school. I understand the wreaths were stunning thanks to Alicia from and I’m delighted to have provided some nibbles to accompany!

A little mid-week corporate lunch at the gorgeous Highfield Park Visitors’ Centre. The client works in sustainability and I’m proud to say their menu was all vegan, except for some cheese sandwiches they ordered. There was cumin-roasted aubergines with pomegranate molasses and tahini, carrot and butternut squash dip with pumpkin seeds and za’atar, a jewelled tabbouleh with cracker bulgur wheat, some thyme-roasted Mediterranean vegetable sandwiches with hummus and, to finish, some cranberry and pistachio flapjacks. Wish I’d made two batches! 💚♻️🌍🌻🌦️🌳

Have been a little under the weather the last few days and so no column from me this fortnight in but, before it gets ridiculously too late to do this, please follow this link and find issue 31; pages 25-27. This column features the phenomenal chef, Merrick Webber - - and the most exotically and creatively flavoured oysters I’ve ever tasted, as fresh as they can be from . Well worth a trip down to Exmoor, trust me.

Pop down to Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery between 5pm-7.30pm! They're launching the beautiful new store here in St Albans - Chequer St (next to Megan's). So much stunning jewellery and I've been privileged enough to do the canapes for them. Good luck for the opening, all!!! :-D

My mum's favourite part of a chicken are the wings, so for Mother's Day it was sticky orange and soy chicken wings and a zingy ginger-and-lime mascerated kale salad. Shared with another fabulous woman, . What a lovely day! Big thanks to my children for spoiling me, too! ###
